Woldan Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Today I came across this little sapling which was literally growing out of a rock. Of course, there must have been a tiny crack underneath it, covered by the base of the stem but it looked really cool. I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
Tsuga C Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Looks like a spruce of some sort. The roots are undoubtedly drawing water and minerals from the decaying organic material that has slipped down into the fissure. It looks a little chlorotic (lacking in chlorophyll). Next time you pass by it sprinkle some common 12-12-12 fertilizer around it and it'll improve greatly for a while. http://cbrrescue.org/ Go afield with a good attitude, with respect for the wildlife you hunt and for the forests and fields in which you walk. Woldan Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) Some new years eve pics. Thats how we celebrate it in Austria. Ready to go! Some video stills of the mortar firing the shell. The explosions were very powerful and you could feel the shockwaves standing 20 meters away. Mortar shell exploded into a GIGANTIC firework when they reached approx 400 meters. Some shells created clouds that stayed there for half an hour. Rocket: Edited January 1, 2014 by Woldan 1 I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
