EA lives in a different reality

I did get SC4 and did enjoy it quite a bit.

The always online stuff does have something to do with the game quality.  However, the big thing to ask is does it ADD anything FOR ME?  If the tradeoff is that sometimes it doesn't work because it requires always online, AND does not add anything to me for that trade off, than that's actually a negative gain in my book.  In addition, smaller city sizes, and other "features" that seem to detract rather than add are also items which are not improvements, rather the opposite in regards to my interests.

Which is why the new version of SC doesn't have any appeal to me.   So my statement

And none of those old any appeal for me with their new versions. EA is improving them how?

Not for me at least on those games that were just listed.

Could even go further in that EA has NOT actually improved them from my stance, but infact taken away things that are the opposite of that.

Why should they have any appeal if they are removing some of the items that appeal to me while the older versions I can still get to work on my PC have those items.  What exactly are they trying to appeal...

The only appeal I can see is if they worked out with MS to make it so that the older versions wouldn't work with Win8 or any other OS...and so they made it so if you wanted to play any version you had to get the most recent SC.

For me, there simply isn't an appeal with the new version.  They didn't add anything that made me say...oh yeah... I want that game.  TOS MAY have, and when I travel less and have a more stable connection constantly, I may try it now that it appears to be free...but until then, one reason I'm not a MMO guy is that I simply travel too much.

I enjoyed SW:KoToR and SimCity.  I still play them.  EA hasn't released anything that I see as an improvement on them really...though there was the release of the double disk set of SW:KoToR I and II that I got...didn't think that was an EA release though was it?

EA distribute many LucasArts titles- they certainly distributed both KOTORs here. They didn't have any creative involvement though unless you count retroactive via Bioware.

TOR gets worse with every patch, support is strechted super-thin and all the glarious bugs remain for months...

:/ So that's not really a 'pro' for EA supporting.

I agree that that is such a stupid idiotic pathetic garbage hateful retarded scumbag evil satanic nazi like term ever created. At least top 5.

And SimCity remains a rich vein of comedy gold, but that can't really be counted as a positive for EA either. The latest patch reportedly resulted even worse traffic problems, and also had a laxative effect on the populace as sewage systems everywhere were pushed to the brink.
