Bloody Hypocrite Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 PS:T style all the way. If PE is going to be iso on a comparatively low budget, there's no way that they can add countless voice overs and animations for minor encounters and I'd argue that there is no need either. Let writing do what it does best. 1
Tsuga C Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Hit us with every iota of information needed to ensure the verisimilitude of the world is both broad and deep via both written and spoken word. I rather enjoy reading and the written word is a much less expensive medium for conveying information to the player (quality voice acting = big $$$). This translates to more zots available for aspects of the game that cannot be covered adequately by blocks of text, be they flavor or otherwise. http://cbrrescue.org/ Go afield with a good attitude, with respect for the wildlife you hunt and for the forests and fields in which you walk. Immerse yourself in the outdoors experience. It will cleanse your soul and make you a better person.----Fred Bear http://michigansaf.org/
Jesugandalf Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Torment-style hands down. Definitely. A nightmare for translators, better for the rest of us :D 1
pedroantonio Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Planescape Torment like, definitely. The descriptive text mingled with dialogue helps a lot in fleshing characters and situations.
