interesting that they haven't shown the system itself, just the tablet.

 

Makes me think that this isn't so much "new system" as "Extra perephrial".

Seems like a really weird decision to undercut the 3DS market, gimp your new HD console's controller and overprice your console :/

Most people I know play handhelds at home while watching TV and whatnot.

 

Looks pretty current-genish.

I must concur I'm pretty impressed though.

 

If the 3rd party support is decent I might pick this thing up.

Ah, there we go -- finally some hardcore stuff. They should have started out showing that it can handle the current generation of console graphics rather than the Wii looking demos they showed at first

Finally it looks proper gen.

 

Also Ninja Gaiden 3 was in there.

Jaggies are hardly a Nintendo exclusive.

I must say that Darksiders 2 video looked worse than the Darksiders I've seen on the Xbox 360. And the Xbox 360 is like 5-6 years old.

This is next-next gen, man.

 

I want to believe that the future is AA-enabled.

I'll be sticking to my 360/kinect.

 

Although I might get PS3 this year. Finally check out those uncharted games and all

AA is the first thing I always turn off when I play my PC games, despite having a quite powerful rig.

 

Jaggies are something I never noticed. Just don't look so hard, enjoy the game instead.

Jaggies are only a problem you're going to truly notice when you're rendering below the native resolution of the display.

 

Because most games are rendered at 720p for example, when you put that on a 1080p system with no AA you will notice the jaggies, and it will look exceptionally ugly.

 

That said I do agree with what you're saying, it can be an ugly game, but if you're having fun it doesn't matter.

 

I hoped they would use a hard disk instead.
