Starwars Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Sorry, I heard the cries of the Obsidian forums in the wind and I got here as fast as I could. Alas... I was not fast enough! Listen to my home-made recordings (some original songs, some not): http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=0
Sannom Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Doesn't inspire a lot of confidence and it's just the last of a string of bad news. Still holding high hopes for the game, but I fear this will be Alpha Protocol: the Fantasy Hack'n'Slash version. Prove me wrong, Obsidz, pretty please. Just this time, prove me wrong. Optimistic version : the higher up realized that releasing the game so close to The Witcher 2 was not a good idea. Pessimistic version : the game is a bug mess.
Starwars Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 I doubt that the Witcher 2 has much of an effect on this, it being a PC only title and Square-enix being a console-focused company. I guess that there will just be additional polishing. Listen to my home-made recordings (some original songs, some not): http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=0
HoonDing Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Hunted: the Demon's Forge comes out on May 31st. Isn't that a co-op hack 'n slash as well? The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

WorstUsernameEver Posted April 7, 2011 Author Posted April 7, 2011 Notsureifserious.jpg Uh? Hunted has a cover system, similar to GoW or Mass Effect. Or is it news for you?
Flouride Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Optimistic version : the higher up realized that releasing the game so close to The Witcher 2 was not a good idea.Pessimistic version : the game is a bug mess. More likely they didn't want to go against L.A Noire and The Witcher 2 etc. June isn't that bad with competion. Hate the living, love the dead.
Labadal Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 A shame, but this gives me time to finish The Witcher 2.
funcroc Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Has DSIII been a "recipe for disaster" since it was announced last year, hasn't it?

Stay tuned. ;) http://twitter.com/RayWillmott Head Staff Writer for this site http://thisismyjoystick.com/ Edit: Ahhh, its the Press Release for the Steam Pre-Orders. Edited April 8, 2011 by C2B
Starwars Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 They're gonna release a new character trailer today though right? Unless the schedule changed with the delay. Listen to my home-made recordings (some original songs, some not): http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=0
WorstUsernameEver Posted April 8, 2011 Author Posted April 8, 2011 Edit: Ahhh, its the Press Release for the Steam Pre-Orders. Uh? I don't see any update on the site. Am I missing something? As for the character trailer, who knows at this point? I certainly hope they still release it, but they may have decided to shuffle the marketing strategy with the delay. A little more exposure wouldn't hurt...

WorstUsernameEver Posted April 8, 2011 Author Posted April 8, 2011 No new character vignette. Good way to raise the anticipation for the game.
C2B Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 No new character vignette. Good way to raise the anticipation for the game. Making the steam announcement strongly again may yield more results since 3 Games for 1 is a pretty good deal. So this week got somewhat covered.
C2B Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Steam pre-order is up http://store.steampowered.com/app/901638/
WorstUsernameEver Posted April 8, 2011 Author Posted April 8, 2011 receive single player versions of Dungeon Siege and Dungeon Siege II to play now! LOL.
C2B Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 (edited) receive single player versions of Dungeon Siege and Dungeon Siege II to play now! LOL. The offical way to play online is down anyway. They may just be refering to that. Edited April 8, 2011 by C2B
WorstUsernameEver Posted April 8, 2011 Author Posted April 8, 2011 The offical way to play online is down anyway. There's still LAN/Co-op though, right? It's likely just that they wanted to specify that the servers are offline, because I can't possibly imagine a reason to cut features from DSI/DSII for the pre-order, it just wouldn't make sense. It does sound very lulzy though.

Jaesun Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Well having Dungeon Siege 1 could allow one to play one of the best cRPG mod/game to grace us in decades, Lazarus and the Ultima 6 Project. Though no one knows if the STEAM version will work with it yet..... Some of my Youtube Classic Roland MT-32 Video Game Music videos | My Music | My Photography
