This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.

The article is about a new discovery that indicates the fungi was around doing its thing 48 million years ago (due to fossil leaf evidence).

I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man

There is a slug, or rather a fungi which lives on the slug whose reproductive cycle involves altering the slug's behaviour causing it to seek high ground and making its feelers bright red, attracting it to predation by birds who spread the fungi through their droppings. Same strategy as a fruit tree minus the suicidal zombie slug bit that is.

This merely echoes my complaint about the media not briefing us correctly. My next question is whether ther's any point in dropping tiny shotguns to the ants along with instructions to shoot for the head.

I imagine it takes some time to find zombie ant bitten leaf fossil evidence.
