BennyLava
I have my CD key entered and validated. However, it still will not let me ask this question in the "Mask of the Betrayer" forum. So I will just have to ask it here. Here's what I did. I guess, I basically imported my character from NWN2, to NWN2 Mask of the Betrayer. I never actually told it to "Import Character". But I sill had NWN2 installed, and when I started Mask of the Betrayer, it simply let me level up time after time, at the very beginning. Until I reached the level that I was in NWN2. But now, my level 19 Wizard can not cast 9th level spells for some reason. When I press "B" on the keyboard, and it opens up the spellbook, there are simply no slots available for level 9 spells. I have level 9 spells, I just can not "Memorize" them, and click and drag them down into my little hotbar so that I can cast them. Does anyone know what is going on here? A level 19 wizard should be able to cast 9th level spells.

Does anyone know what is going on here? Not really, but it does sound like a bug. "Geez. I.e. 18 to cast level 8 spells, 19 to cast level 9 etc. Whats the intelligence of your character. Btw, I'm moving this to the gaming forum... “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. BennyLava
Lol, his intel stat is an 18. I would think that would be high enough, but I guess not.
WorstUsernameEver
The Bioware forums aren't closed though. Strange that he can't post there. Edited April 24, 2010 by WorstUsernameEver
Deadly_Nightshade
The Bioware forums aren't closed though. They aren't? Opps, I guess I was mistaken about that point. "Geez. No, the old Bioware forums are not closed They're here http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/ As for 9th level spells, you'll need to be level 20 (or over I, think?) to be able to cast level 9 spells. At level 18, I think?, you can cast 9th level spells from scrolls, but not write them to your spellbook. Edit: If I remember correctly, if you have a speciality mage, e.g. a mage that specializes in say evocation, I think? there are spells you simply can't cast. ~Di
You did register the Mask of the Betrayer CD separately from the NWN2 CD, correct? When you log on to your BioWare account, does it list Mask of the Betrayer under your name separately from NWN2? I'm sure you checked all that, but sometimes it's the little stuff that slips by us. If everything checks, you might want to send a moderator a PM to see what the problem is. Edited April 25, 2010 by ~Di
HoonDing
Lol, his intel stat is an 18. I would think that would be high enough, but I guess not. Note that Safiya's intelligence is 19. Required intelligence to cast is always 10 + spell level. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
Tigranes
Yep, INT is the problem here. As the NWN2 manual states (In one of its massive tables), you need 10 + spell level. You might want to restart and do that level up thing again and make sure to give yourself 19 INT.
