Morgoth Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Because it's Bioware. Bingo. Seriously, it's what Bioware always has done. The fans just couldn't handle a depressing and devastating end. Rain makes everything better.
HoonDing Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 I'm half expecting BioWare to rip off the ending of Sandworms of Dune. Peaceful coexistence between Reapers & organics, with Shepard becoming the intermediary between the two factions. It'd be better than the alternative. One Reaper wiped out nearly the entire Citadel Fleet. It would take a very large & ugly Plot Device to destroy an entire fleet of Reapers. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

Purkake Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 (edited) Shepard actually a half-Reaper confirmed, only s/he could bring peace to the Middle East Galaxy. Edited February 16, 2010 by Purkake

Well you can upgrade Normandy with a mini version of reaper main cannon in ME2 just by talking to Garrus, so better not get any false hopes here

Can't see them denying us the sight of that fleet blowing up in a giant battle or from a hit by a Plot Cannon. On a side note, that was the ending to Dune ? Bleh. Malcador Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Who the hell is Morinth? I never met that chick. Ahh, I get the feeling I missed half of the game.... She is evil Samara, minus the maracas and devil costume. Why has elegance found so little following? Purkake Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Also Samara's daughter and an evil Asari vampire .
jaguars4ever Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 (edited) Also Samara's daughter and an evil Asari vampire . Samara = Space Paladin. Morinth = Space Succubus. And I'm too cool for spoiler tags. Edited February 16, 2010 by jaguars4ever
Morgoth Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Now I get it. Because I failed Samara's mission, I couldn't meet her. Rain makes everything better.
jaguars4ever Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Now I get it. Because I failed Samara's mission, I couldn't meet her. Of course that means you couldn't recruit her either.
Purkake Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 You didn't manage to pick her up at the bar? It seemed pretty hard to fail that.
Morgoth Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 You didn't manage to pick her up at the bar? It seemed pretty hard to fail that. Ahh, I just said the wrong thing and then she walked away from me. Probably didn't pay alot attention to her. Well, sucks for Samara. Rain makes everything better.
Morgoth Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Just like the PS3. lulz I sold this POS alreay. From now on, I'll stay clean. From now on, I'm a zealot of the pure PC master race! Rain makes everything better.

Ah, I knew you'd see the light. Who can resist 2560 x 1600 frame buffer b00bie effects in AAA? This guy, that's who: Did anyone pick this jerk for their game? I'm curious how it plays out, but even contemplating choosing this guy make me feel dirtier than a Salarian drinking shots out of an Asari's stripper's belly button.
Purkake Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 (edited) The council took such a backseat in ME2 that it might just as well been in another car. "Nothing happened to the Citadel, it was just a weather balloon, move along." Edited February 16, 2010 by Purkake
Morgoth Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 I chose Anderson in ME1, because he was a more sympathetic dude. I felt sad for him in ME2 since he wasn't very happy with his new gig. Rain makes everything better.
Chrisimo Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 The council took such a backseat in ME2 that it might just as well been in another car. "Nothing happened to the Citadel, it was just a weather balloon, move along." To be honest, it seems perfectly believable that they attribute it to the Geth. The thought that there would be maybe thousands more of those big ships is simply too scary for many. Easier and more convenient to believe that it was a Geth flagship.
Raithe Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Now if we could just see the Council's reaction to Shep walking on to the Citadel with Legion... "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."
