H Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 This game has a Broken Sword feel about it... Just like Gabriel Knight, except crap?
Majek Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Nothing crap about this game. It's like watching a good action movie ... except your playing it. Not really your everyday experience, is it? 1.13 killed off Ja2.
HoonDing Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 It seems the hero from Uncharted was modeled after David Boreanaz. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
WILL THE ALMIGHTY Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 (edited) David Boreanaz is a very very good choice for modelling your main character after. That and Nathan's voice actor is damn good too. EDIT: "Angel.jpg" Edited October 16, 2009 by WILL THE ALMIGHTY "Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"
neckthrough Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I heard that the supernatural element was somewhat controversial, but surely it doesn't ruin the whole game? There's still fun dialogue and somewhat fun shooting, right? Dunno yet. I got pretty p*ssed off but I'm probably going to give it another shot in a few days. The game does deserve a second chance, it's been really good fun thus far. Alright, it wasn't too bad. I still think the game would have been better off without the stuff, but thankfully it was mostly low-key and not too stretched out. The game didn't lose its overall charm. And thank heavens the endgame wasn't a bossfight with some ****ing demonspawn from hell. Next stop... Kathmandu!!!
Oner Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Whee, relevant PC strip: pic This made me sad. ): Giveaway list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DgyQFpOJvyNASt8A12ipyV_iwpLXg_yltGG5mffvSwo/edit?usp=sharing What is glass but tortured sand?Never forget! '12.01.13.
Majek Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Made me laugh, especially the russian names. But it's PA, those weirdos rarely do anything right. 1.13 killed off Ja2.
Hurlshort Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 I'm thinking about picking up the original game, as I never played it. Is that a good idea, or does it not matter for the sequel?
Purkake Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 AFAIK the original is considered one of the better PS3 games, even though it didn't sell too well. If you can find it cheap, I'd say go for it!
Matthew Rorie Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Original game's well worth the money, as well. Matthew Rorie
Purkake Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 (edited) I think the Squadron of Shame is doing a side-mission on Uncharted as well so you can get some nice discussion afterwards, should you so desire. Edited October 22, 2009 by Purkake
Majek Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 It didn't sell to well? I thought that was just in the first month, they passed 1 million mark worldwide in January 2008 though. That is something isn't it? 1.13 killed off Ja2.
Purkake Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 It started off slow and could have sold better. I didn't fail by any means. Let's hope that 2 does better.
Majek Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Well it apparently sold 300k in a day in US and hit 1 million mark in a week. 1.13 killed off Ja2.
Purkake Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Then it's among the best selling PS3 games ever. Apparently I was misinformed? It's up to 2.6 million now.
Majek Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 I was talking about U2 in my previous post, U1 was a slow seller but yeah by now it has sold plenty. 1.13 killed off Ja2.
