WILL THE ALMIGHTY
LucasArts teased the announcement late last week on Twitter saying that "amazing news" was coming Monday and that they were "super excited." "You have no idea how tough it is not to start yelling about it! But it's secret! Until Monday!" Edited July 6, 2009 by WILL THE ALMIGHTY "Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"
Aristes
http://kotaku.com/5308431/lucasarts-rerele...assics-on-steam Huh... somewhat related.. but... Interestingly the games mentioned aren't the games that most people consider to be classics... Loom, Starfighter? WTF!? WHERE'S MY DARK FORCES! Somewhat related? Apparently, this is the news. This is just too funny. I can't believe that the new game is rerelease of old games. Oh, man, that's too precious.
alanschu
I don't see where Lucasarts, or Kotaku for that matter, mention anything about a new game. Am I blind?
H
Cool, now I can buy games I already own again. The generosity of LucasArts truly knows no bounds.
Aristes
*sigh* No, Alan, I suppose they didn't really come out and say they were producing a new game. I still think the rereleasing of old games on STEAM is perhaps a bit much for the hype engendered in such a short time in this thread. So, you get a TOMBS point for catching the error. Yay. I still think it's funny.
alanschu
I agree the enthusiasm is a bit much. But he did say old school gamers would be happy haha.

Calax
well, they may be watching the partnership to see which games get the most downloads/purchases from the "new" generation to see where they should expand. Of course they're being stupid about it because what they should do is let Double Fine do its' thing, and reboot the Xwing series with Totally Games. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Calax
http://kotaku.com/5308707/lucasarts-hopes-...adventure-games Looks like it's an experiment, if they see sales on their titles that they release on steam they'll release more of the classics.
