A New Game Unannounced from Blizzard

Compared to Czech version the English voiceover of W3 was godly!!! I played Czech version for 15 minutes then sold it and imported UK version...

 

I have only made the mistake of buying a Czech version of a computer game once. Ever since then I refuse to buy a game version in any language other than English, even if I really want the game and only the Czech version is available (Slovak versions are pretty much nonexistent anyway). I am in the U.S. at the moment, which makes it easier to practice this particular policy of mine, but I kept to it even when in Slovakia.

I highly doubt it is another MMOG. In the same logic that EA used with canceling Ultima Online 2. In that you really should not mess with your Cash Cow.

 

A NEW IP would be refreshing. But I doubt that.

 

It is most likely ANOTHER Warcraft or StarCraft game. Which bleh... I'm not interested in.

 

Guess we shall see.

There was very little logic involved with EA and their decision to cancel UO2. They are now way behind in the genre and are struggling to find a way in. Blizzard is run much more efficiently.

 

But it probably isn't another MMO because they already have an unannounced MMO in the works.

No, he means the second part of SC 2. It's become a trilogy, or get two expansions or whatever. The first part will feature only the Terran campaign.

I know about trilogy, but its all StarCraft 2... i was talking more about SC3 or SCMMO...

I haven't kept up lately, but I don't think anyone has posted that Blizzard has bought the rights to Redneck Rampage.

 

Supposedly they have a few employees that have worked on RR in the past.

I think a Warcraft adventure game would be better. You could play as a young Thrall trying to liberate your people from slavery.

IIRC Blizzard DID start working on a WoW RPG, YEARS ago. But then they abandoned it.

Yea that's it. I remember when the announcement for that game came out. Sad. A quote:

Yeah, I remember it. It was lame, they basically said "this is a good game, but the adventure game genre is dead, so we aren't going to finish it." I was bummed.

I thought they said the game did not reach the Blizzard standard of fun?

 

Don't mourn the passing of the adventure game genre - many of its conceits have been assimilated by the CRPG genre, so it is more like the merging of the two than the elimination of one of these two.
