bisurge Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I know a lot of people have a lot of trouble beating Kreia with a consular. But my friend just decided to use Force Crush on her over and over and over until she died... WTF?
Deadly_Nightshade Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to say, is this a comment or a question? "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum." -Hurlshot
Dark_Raven Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Your pal must have cheated or something. She isn't that easy to defeat. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Hassat Hunter Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Nah, with a Force Build Kreia is that easy to beat. Force Crush is rediciously unbalanced. 50% health when not saved remember? ^ I agree that that is such a stupid idiotic pathetic garbage hateful retarded scumbag evil satanic nazi like term ever created. Markus Ramikin Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 (edited) Force Crush is rediciously unbalanced. 50% health when not saved remember? You're thinking of Force Kill, which is very powerful but against a boss like Kreia it becomes hard to beat her ridiculous Fortitude. Force Crush does 1-10 per level (a bit better than Lightning), half that when saved against. But what I think the original poster is referring to is that even when it fails, it still seems to do the animation of grabbing the enemy off their feet and then dropping them to the ground. Which means that evne when saving against it, there is little Kreia can do to hurt you as long as you keep your distance. So you can just spam Force Crush until she goes. Hassat Hunter Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 It is? *mental note to self to read the description again* But yeah, that effect is handy. A DS-player, concentrating on LS-combat, not Force can even kill Sion without using anything else than Force Crush. Kreia's only taken around half-way before running out of Force... ^ I agree that that is such a stupid idiotic pathetic garbage hateful retarded scumbag evil satanic nazi like term ever created. Markus Ramikin Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 How do you run out of Force in Kotor 2?
bisurge Posted December 2, 2008 Author Posted December 2, 2008 How about the force form that gives you massive regeneration? That makes it so you never run out >.>.
Markus Ramikin Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 How do you run out of Force in Kotor 2? Actually nvm, my thinking is too Consular-centric . Though of course as a nonconsular you shouldn't be trying to defeat Kreia with Force Powers...
Hassat Hunter Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) Yup. Although my Sentinel-Assassin/Watchman build usually is able to "charm" Darth Sion/Nihilus without trouble . refuse Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 By the time you hit low-to-mid 20 levels in XPs, I find that you needn't worry about FPs running out that much regardless of class. Even with a saber-based build, 3rd tier Force Jump just makes things even easier!
Jediphile Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Yes, Force Crush it the ultimate campaign hoser. As long as there is no other opposition and you have enough force points (which isn't really an issue late in TSL in any event), there is nothing a lone enemy can do - just spam the button and watch him die. There is no defense against the damage, and since the enemy gets no chance to strike back, he or she is defenseless. It's only if that enemy is not alone and so has allies who can attack you that he or she has any chance of survival. No matter who that enemy. Spam the button and kill Atris, kill Nihilus, kill Sion, kill Traya. The only difference is how long it takes and how many force points it costs. Visit my KotOR blog at Deadly Forums.
refuse Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 I find that the Force Wave power is a decent 'alternative' to force crush for force-focused builds, particularly when your wisdom/charisma is high and you get the stun effect. Remarkably, with a hacked pc I used them on Kreia's sabers once it was pretty random. I always wondered why the Exile simply didn't use the force to disable the wiring inside them to turn them off. Oh well!
Markus Ramikin Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) Force Wave is nice, but the thing is Kreia herself is immune to the stun (probably wearing that mind protecting belt like Malak was), and if I remember right it's also saved against by Fortitute so kind of hard to pull off. That particular skill is actually more useful at level 2: Force Whirlwind. That's a "stun" effect that lasts longer and can't be saved against. Also, once whirling, the target's Reflex drops which means it's easy to just keep someone in the air until they die, Kreia can be brought down like that. Pity you can't choose to use previous versions of the same Force power, like computer-controlled characters can, so one could use Wave on masses of enemies and Whirlwind on bosses. Kreia's sabers are susceptible to Horror, they have low Will. I know, it doesn't make any sort of sense. I didn't make this game. Oh and Force Crush still allows some use of Force by the target, and if enemies in K2 weren't even dumber than the ones in K1, maybe Kreia would use Immunity once in a while. (Why did that go away? I loved how bosses in K1 started every fight with Immunity.) Edited December 2, 2008 by Markus Ramikin
