russr Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 (edited) So I finished the game as a JediGuardian/Watchman and at no point in the game did I find a personal lightsaber crystal. i went back to a a save game right before I became a Watchman and became a weapon master instead hoping Kreia would then give it to me, but no. What am I missing here? Nevermind...I beat the game not ever seeing that one group of crystal in the cave on Dantooine. Edited June 26, 2008 by russr
Gorth Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 A cave on Dantooine? “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
babydol Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Yes, Gorth is correct. It's in the very cave that you meet up with Vrook, but in one of the back caverns. Part of the largest glowing crystal formation. Make sure you have Kreia align it to fit your Exile! Check out my KOTOR fan vids on YouTube. And no, they're not of legos.
Jediphile Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Make sure you have Kreia align it to fit your Exile! Repeatedly, I might add. Which means every time you level up. Visit my KotOR blog at Deadly Forums.
refuse Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Or change allignment. I think there are like 5 degrees of allignment with the crystals, from very dark, to very light.
russr Posted June 26, 2008 Author Posted June 26, 2008 Do you guys usually use the personal crystal or some combo of other ones?
Jediphile Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Do you guys usually use the personal crystal or some combo of other ones? Sure I use it. It can be "leveled up" by Kreia eight times or so IIRC, and at the highest is is without doubt the most powerful crystal in the game. I always use it along with the Qixoni in one lightsaber (I always use dual sabers, because you can put crystals in both of them granting obscene buffs to the exile), though sometimes I put it in the short lightsaber, as they primarily buff up the stats, then put whatever other good crystals I can get or buy into the other sword. babydol Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Yes, I ALWAYS use it. And some other crystal, too. I'm a dual wielder, so I've still got 3 slots left to fill! Check out my KOTOR fan vids on YouTube. And no, they're not of legos.
walkerguy Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Why is the cave on K1 so hard to find? I never knew there was one until I played K2. I remember thinking how much smaller K1's was too. Twitter | @Insevin
russr Posted June 26, 2008 Author Posted June 26, 2008 the qixoni crystal is nice, but it is DS only. i wish there was a LS one that I found...are there any LS only crystals?
Jediphile Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 the qixoni crystal is nice, but it is DS only. i wish there was a LS one that I found...are there any LS only crystals? The solari crystal is LS only, but unlike the qixoni, it is found only randomly, meaning you could play many times without getting it. But you can use the qixoni even if you're LS. You just need the <FullName> crystal from the Kinrath cave on Dantooine. It is whatever alignment you are if you let Kreia 'adjust' it, so it is LS if you're LS. And if you put a LS only crystal in a lightsaber along with a DS only crystal, their alignment restrictions will neutralize each other and you can use the saber, even if you're LS. Bass-GameMaster Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Why is the cave on K1 so hard to find? I never knew there was one until I played K2. I remember thinking how much smaller K1's was too. DUDE!! Me too!! ""Savior, conqueror, hero, villain. You are all things, Revan
DeathScepter Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 and here i though the crystal cave was easy to find. **** I found it on my first playthru of Kotor 1 and 2.
Bass-GameMaster Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Well it was easy on KOTOR 2, but on kotor1 you actually had to look. ""Savior, conqueror, hero, villain. You are all things, Revan
Jediphile Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 I never thought so. But then maybe I'm just a slave to the old rules of action adventures. 1. Talk to or examine EVERYTHING. 2. Explore EVERY square of the game map EVERYWHERE. 3. Save often and in different slots. Visit my KotOR blog at Deadly Forums.
Bass-GameMaster Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Well you see, what had happen was....... Actually I follow the same code its just sometimes I get wrapped up in the story and just want to see what happens next Call it a curse? ""Savior, conqueror, hero, villain. You are all things, Revan
DeathScepter Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 yes it is. because you will miss out on the gameplay itself. there is a balance of gameplay and story.
