Krookie Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I don't know the program well enough to take a test on it. The coding is all big and scary compared to Actionscript
Nick_i_am Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Oh, yeah, HTML is a step up, though at least you're not on JAVA yet, that confused the crap out of me. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)

Shryke Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 haha that thing is disturbingly awesome a friend showed it to me, and now ever time i hear him sing that "you spin me right round baby right round" i can't help but think of the meatspin and crack up with laughter when your mind works against you - fight back with substance abuse!
Xard Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Well, the added "you spin me right round baby right round" in the background together with movement makes it somewhat hypnotical in its own twisted, horrifying way Dear god that sounded very silly. Deraldin Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 (edited) I really should stop looking these things up. It's the song that really makes it work. I still cracked up laughing though. Edited March 27, 2008 by Deraldin
Shryke Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 haha curiosity will lead people to some horrifying things when your mind works against you - fight back with substance abuse!
Nick_i_am Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Having looked into the eye of GOATSE I thought I was fairly immune to the negative effects of curiosity. Then that 2girls1cup thing came along and I was proven so very very wrong. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
Gfted1 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Must...not...google...2girls1cup... Ive already been burned by goatse, tubgirl, lemonparty. "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
Deraldin Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Must...not...google...2girls1cup... Ive already been burned by goatse, tubgirl, lemonparty. I've yet to come across lemonparty and have yet to succumb to 2girls1cup.
Shryke Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 yeah avoid 2girls1cup if you can... i mean, i've seen some nasty things, but that is just nasty when your mind works against you - fight back with substance abuse!
Deraldin Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 yeah avoid 2girls1cup if you can... i mean, i've seen some nasty things, but that is just nasty That's what everyone tells me. I start thinking it can't possibly be that bad until I come to my senses and remember that this is the internet we are talking about.
Nick_i_am Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 If you do ever visit, just keep trying to tell yourself that it's only chocolate icecream. I mean, it's not, but deluding yourself might help. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
Gfted1 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 ^Ah, sounds tubgirl-ish. Thank god I didnt look it up. "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"

Walsingham Posted March 28, 2008 Author Posted March 28, 2008 I am that rare beast: a man who can resist the urge to be curious. Although I must say I mastered the art only after reading the NYPD crime investigation handbook. I challenge anyone who believes the death penalty is always wrong to read it. "It wasn't lies. Deraldin Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 I've spent the night writing a short essay about whether or not Nero could be classified as a megalomaniac and how that/his grandiose plans for Rome, led to his downfall. Oddly enough, I've actually been enjoying myself. Unfortunately I don't have a copy of Tacitus Annals of Imperial Rome so I can't get any actual quotes from that (but I do have a couple pages of notes, just not exact quotes). I do have a copy of Suetonius The Twelve Caesars which has been a great source!
Tigranes Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 I have both Tacitus at Suetonius at home - they're pretty darn good, yes. Also Polybius, Thucydides, Herodotus and a few others. They're actually very nice reading. Man, that's a can of worms. On one hand it is wrong, on the other, some people simply deserve to die. But that's another can of worms too. Additionally, Skiing is the finest sport there ever was.
