Some of the oddest scoring trends have been going on this year. Roughly 75% of games are the low scoring affairs we saw in the dead puck era, but then there are many of these blowouts and 10+ goal games...

Heh, to be fair, Toronto played pretty well that game, Buffalo just decided to act like Chicago (now there's a team that steals wins :D).

I can imagine that would have been pretty demoralizing for Toronto fans. 4 seconds left in OT before the shootout and it goes into the net off McCabe's stick.

I remember right before the Leads lost 7-1 to the Canes, there was a article on TSN on how Toskala quieted all doubts. Then of course, after that game, Toronto won 8-1. :D

I watched the first half of the Leafs / Sabres game. Raycroft was the difference. Damn, even Hal Gill wasn't horrible.

I can't believe that the Montreal-Florida game is still only 1-0. Vokoun has just been absolutely dominating tonight. Bouwmeester also saved a sure goal when Vokoun was totally out of position.

 

EDIT: Oh ****ing hell... 10.2 seconds from getting that shutout. Florida doesn't deserve a point tonight, but they have one so far.

Yeah, I know what you mean, I was just watching this game on-off as a neutral observer, and Chicago, which is kinda the team I'm pulling for this season, won basically every game with these come from behind/last minute goals, but it always sucks having it happen to your team. I'm now sad that Koivu didn't score.

Last minute goals are fine, but when you only play for 2 minutes and come out with 2 points? That's what happened tonight and why this sucks so much.

A much needed win for the Leafs! Good to see they can win against mid-range teams at least.

Well, my team won last night as well against the 'Yotes, but we really weren't deserving of the win. We were outshot something like 40 to 19. Against Pheonix! This does not bode well for Calgary on Saturday night.

I like the way Boston is playing this season. They look hunfry and desperate, and Thomas is playing surprisingly well in goal. If they keep it up, I think they'll manage a playoff appearance.

A very nice goal by Toews; reminds me of very similar ones by Lecavalier and St. Louis (and those were among their career best). Of course, having the Colorado announcer call makes everything so much better.

 

 

I'm upset that Chicago blew a 3 goal lead, but Robert Lang will probably win the game with a harmless looking play like he always does.

Wow, Toews is a talented kid. He'll definitely be a top goal scorer in the upcming years. He also might be the frontrunner for rookie of the year honors.

That goal by Toews was jaw droppingly good, that's for sure.
