Rosbjerg Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 (edited) I never seen a thread like this (although that doesn't mean it hasn't been done, I know) - so I thought we could share what games we own.. a kind of "show me your fridge - and I'll tell you who you are" variant. karka Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 (edited) Some of them: http://www.gamespot.com/users/centinexx/games_table?mode=own edit: Game scores are meaningless. Edited May 25, 2007 by karka
Rosbjerg Posted May 25, 2007 Author Posted May 25, 2007 I see we have some of the same games.. I've been meaning to try those Sam & Max games - are they recommendable? (Pidesco, I know your answer - so don't bother ) Fortune favors the bald.
SteveThaiBinh Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 I see we have some of the same games.. I've been meaning to try those Sam & Max games - are they recommendable? (Pidesco, I know your answer - so don't bother ) They're excellent, funny, enjoyable, witty, extremely well-designed, with great music and voice-acting. I strongly recommend them to anyone. karka Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 I've played only the first two games so far. They are absolutely recommendable. Don't expect hard puzzles or a great story though. All you can find is great fun.
Bokishi Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Listing all my games will take too long, maybe later. Current 3DMark
@\NightandtheShape/@ Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Listing all my games will take too long, maybe later. Approx number? I think mines at around 300+ PC games. "I'm a programmer at a games company... REET GOOD!" - Me
Bokishi Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Well If I count like over the past 10 years, I might have a similar number Current 3DMark
Krookie Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 I don't feel like going downstairs to look at all of them. But I've got SNES, Playstation, PS2, Xbox, and an Xbox 360, so at around 10 or 15 games per console I've got around 60 games at the moment. The games I have for my 360 are: Dead Rising Madden 06 NBA 06 NHL 07 Call of Duty 3 Crackdown Gears of War Lost Planet GRAW I'd recommend all of them minus the Madden 06, NBA 06, and Lost Planet. Madden and NBA sucked compared to their last generation counterparts, and Lost Planet is basically a "Shoot this part of the giant bug and win!" game.
@\NightandtheShape/@ Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Well If I count like over the past 10 years, I might have a similar number Aye figured as much. "I'm a programmer at a games company... REET GOOD!" - Me
@\NightandtheShape/@ Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Role Player... That's a pathetically small list! "I'm a programmer at a games company... REET GOOD!" - Me
LadyCrimson Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Well, I don't have 300+ - maybe around/close to 100 in binders/on the shelf that I can name, and another 30-50 I've bought and tossed so don't remember. All PC, no consoles. And I'm not sure I have anything to comment on them, beyond the fact that I haven't actually played many of 'em all the way to the very end. lc_games.txt “Things are as they are. @\NightandtheShape/@ Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 TOSSING! A GAME!!! TOSSING! There are words for people like you... and I can't say them here. "I'm a programmer at a games company... REET GOOD!" - Me
Pop Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Looks like Roleplayer took a pass on NWN2. As for myself, I wouldn't be able to name them all. Most of the games I played when I was a kid were shareware. Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!
Calax Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 http://www.gamespot.com/users/Calax/games_table?mode=own my semi updated list. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.

Diogo Ribeiro Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Role Player... That's a pathetically small list! True. The reason it's small is that I usually sell some of the games I purchase, because I favor experiencing as many games as I can instead of ending up with a large collection, of which I'll only cherish having a few. A couple of years ago that list had about four or five times the size, but what would I be doing with games I no longer play or have no intention of holding on to? It's quite likely some of the games in that list will eventually be sold, even.
@\NightandtheShape/@ Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 This is not a concept I can comprehend for myself, though I see your reasoning. While I may not be playing a game at this current time there will be a time that I shall... So selling isn't something I would ever do. "I'm a programmer at a games company... REET GOOD!" - Me
Diogo Ribeiro Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 It was hard for me selling some of them, that much is true. But right now I don't miss them one bit.
LadyCrimson Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 I went through the same thing with books. I used to have tons and tons of books, from fiction to reference, soft cover, hardcover, autographed, photography, etc. Then I got tired of all the space they require (not to mention moving them) and sold or tossed everything I didn't actually use or re-read at least once a year. I should do it with games too, but they take up almost no space/weight and thus I just toss them in binder sleeves and forget about them, until a thread like this comes up. “Things are as they are. Looking out into the universe at night, we make no comparisons between right and wrong stars, nor between well and badly arranged constellations.” – Alan Watts

You'll miss them someday, I know that I have been glad I've kept my hands on things, especially when i need to referance something... The thing with games is, once they've hit budget for a few years you ain't gunna be able to get your hands on it again, unless you're lucky. "I'm a programmer at a games company... REET GOOD!" - Me

Wistrik Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 I've thrown out more games than I can remember, but there are a few I can't seem to get rid of for some reason, and some I haven't tried yet so they're awaiting my own version of judgment day. Alphabetically sorted: Age of Kings (Age of Empires 2) Atlantis Evolution Baldur's Gate Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal Diablo Diablo II Diablo II: Lord of Destruction Dreamfall Half-Life 2 Half-Life 2: Episode 1 Icewind Dale Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter Icewind Dale: Trials of the Luremaster (got it so I could have the latest patch (built-in) for HoW) Icewind Dale II Neverwinter Nights Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark Neverwinter Nights 2 Return to Mysterious Island Schizm: Mysterious Journey Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic The Longest Journey Ultima I (Origin's EGA remake) Ultima II (with VGA upgrade mod) Ultima III (with VGA upgrade mod) Ultima IV (with VGA upgrade mod) Ultima V (with VGA upgrade mod) Ultima VI Ultima VII Ultima VIII (no speech pack, Windows executable) Unreal Unreal II: The Awakening
EUIX Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 I could not name them all, I don't even remember every game I own. "For ourselves, we shall not trouble you with specious pretences- either of how we have a right to our empire because we overthrew the Mede, or are now attacking you because of wrong that you have done us- and make a long speech which would not be believed; and in return we hope that you, instead of thinking to influence us by saying that you did not join the Lacedaemonians, although their colonists, or that you have done us no wrong, will aim at what is feasible, holding in view the real sentiments of us both; since you know as well as we do that right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must."
