SS2 should've been in Top 10. Oh, and wtf are Oblivion and Call of Duty doing on that list? And no Silent Storm? Racism against turn based combat rages on (I don't believe that its in top ten) :sad: I believe we'll see at least one Fallout in top ten, both HL's and possibly BG2. Oh, and Doom naturally. How can it be a no ob build. It has PROVEN effective. Not with standing how good or bad the game is, you can't judge a game as being best of all time when it has been out for less than a year. A game needs to age a bit and see how it stands up to the passage of time before it can be called a best of all time. Since this is PC games only Deus Ex should probably be higher than 20. ANd I don't know what Warcraft 2 did to deserve inclusion. And WoW? It may be popular, but that's hardly an indicator of best of all time. And Xard, Silent Storm, top 25? , um no. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. Sure, quality can be judged, but in order to go into the "best of all time" category there has to be some "time" to establish where the game sits in relation to all other games that have come before. There are a lot of quality games that don't deserve a "one of the best of all time" inclusion. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that. A lot of games that turned out to be classic titles were virtually ignored when they were released. And some games that make a big splash at release quickly fade into the past. WHere the heck did I mention sales numbers? And I would consider "classics" to be among the "best games" so its an irrelevant distinction. System Shock 2 barely made a ripple when it was released. Yet here it is, number 15 or whatever. Obviously time has given people a different perspective on it. As far as Oblivion goes, I think its a pretty fun game. I don't feel it has the makings of a "best game" however. Its greatest asset is its prettiness, but a year from now there will be much better looking games. Easily. Deus Ex was a good game, but I can't give it more than that. You'd have to put a gun to my head for me to consider the combat in Deus Ex to be "decent."
