I'm quite the opposite. I like Gnomes, and I liked Jan. I won't even let Mazzy in my party for a second because she's a Halfling.

 

Of course, I hate Grobnar so much, you must guess why I keep making statements at to his actual race.

LOLZ gnomes suck. Grobnar, Jan and Twikie & Short Round (gnome brothers from a player back in the PnP days.) they just suck. Death to gnomes!

I agree, they're right up there on the level of Drow-suckage.

I loved that series.

At least 18 of BG's joinable NPCs made it into BG2, if only by mention.

alive and well in the North Forest; you can save him by means of careful dialog but I've only done this once; he usually dies.

alive and well, initially, in the North Forest near Coran's location; always dies soon after you find her.

imprisoned in the Spellhold Asylum; helps you fight Irenicus shortly after your arrival.

Glad I fall in the ten percent then.

I liked Viconia, and BG2 made me see Drow in a completely different light. I _DO_ recall Drizzt from BG1, and I tell you it was literally hatred at first sight. I spent more than 24 hours before I killed him. I din't even know if it was possible, but I stuck at it.

Viconia is awesome.

 

Drizzt is easy to kill. Have someone that is good at pick pocketing, pick him of his weapons, than have your party surround him and force attack him.

The only Drizzt clones I see are troll characters designed to piss off people who hate Drizzt clones.

 

I've made a few of them, myself.
