Atreides Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 It's an unfortunate characteristic of my current internet service setup that downloading 4.5 gigs would cost me several times more than the game itself. I'll walk 15 mins to physically buy my game on the 15th lol. Spreading beauty with my katana.
kumquatq3 Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 "Piracy!" Piracy is not only dumb, and immoral; it should be punishable by DEATH like in the old days!!!!!!!! If Jack Sparrow has taught us anything, it's that pirates are notoriously hard to kill.
Volourn Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Yeah. but Jack Sparrow is the only 'cool' pirate! DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
CoM_Solaufein Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Physical copies are the best. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That they are. You get a hold of a game that in the future will be a collectors item. Kaftan Barlast Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Even better is a direct download service that till ship a hardcopy to you when you download the game online. That way youll get to play the game before stores open or the post office delivers and still have a disc so you wont need to redownload everything again after youve uninstalled it DISCLAIMER: Do not take what I write seriously unless it is clearly and in no uncertain terms, declared by me to be meant in a serious and non-humoristic manner. Atreides Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 That makes little sense. Spreading beauty with my katana.

Volourn Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 March 11, 2007? WOWSERS! By then, the NWN2 OC will be old news, and we'll be awaiting the first expansions. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Dark_Raven Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Physical copies are the best. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Downloading is not for me. Give me something physical. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
taks Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 (edited) Physical copies are the best. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yup. it is generally considered a detriment to gameplay to not have the physical media from which you are playing. those that attempt to play games, of any kind, not just crpgs, without the physical media, often complain of poor graphics, a story that leaves them feeling empty and un-involved, and overall bad gameplay. they say it almost feels as if they're not even playing a game, but simply sitting at a computer. taks Edited October 27, 2006 by taks comrade taks... just because.
Dark_Raven Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Looking at the monitor staring blankly into never, never land. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
jaguars4ever Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Nothing beat physical copies of course, but I also like having pdf copies available to supplement it. If you have a rule extensive manual like that of the BGs or NWNs and you're looking for something specific, then Ctrl-F is totally sweet and awesome. Sure as hell beats scouring a book manual in frustration.
Dark_Raven Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 I prefer a physical manual which I can read before bed, the best way for me to memorize things, or I can read it at work on break. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
jaguars4ever Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 True enough - but strictly speaking, both methods are inferior to Cranial USB connectins. Cyberbrain FTW!1 :D

Cyberbrain FTW!1 :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It would be nice if they could make a computer chip that is incorporated into your brain which allows you to call up anything from memory. Which could connect to your example there and you would not have to read, the info would be implanted into your memory. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
