September 19, 200619 yr Grrrrrr... It seems that Neverwinter Nights 2 got delayed. Again. This time to October 31st. Man, they really need to stop delaying this game so I can ask for that week off. My boss doesn't like it when I constantly shift my days off like this. Grrr... Harvey
September 19, 200619 yr http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?sh...pic=43703&st=75 Anyways, 'tis life; but constant delays are never a good sign. Hopefully, it works out this time. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
September 19, 200619 yr Author No it is not. I hope they are using this time to finish things up and such. I hate to see the game is delayed due to a marketing decision on Atari's part. I am wondering how many people are going to ditch DDO when NWN 2 is released. Harvey
September 19, 200619 yr I'm not buying NWN2 or anything, but I'd rather see you guys wait an extra few weeks (or months or whatever) then buy the game and be upset with the bugs and stuff.
September 19, 200619 yr I hope things are going ok for Obsidian. Or maybe this could be a good thing that they got more time to polish things up. Spreading beauty with my katana.
September 19, 200619 yr Author I also hope things are going well and this isn't a sign of something bad happening. I remember similar delays with ToEE and that didn't bode well at all. Harvey
September 19, 200619 yr As long as the toolset comes out later this week, I'll have enough distractions to wait a while longer. No biggie. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
September 19, 200619 yr Not with Atari. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Up until NWN2 was annouced, I wasn't even aware that Atari still made any reputable games. Yes, I think I spelt reputable wrong.
September 19, 200619 yr Wait, I just realized I'm going on conference leave from Nov 1 to 5. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :'( (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
September 19, 200619 yr Delays mean that it's not on schedule -- not on schedule means that the poor OBS employees are probably working 60+ hour weeks without overtime pay . That is, if they're like the majority of game developement companies.
September 19, 200619 yr Which could mean that they're very tired...Leaving bugs in the game! oh noes!
September 19, 200619 yr Well, balls. That's really all I can say. Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!

September 19, 200619 yr Smiles everyone. :D It means they have more time to work I mean let's look at some of the "pushed to early release" greatest hits: MOO3 TOEE I'm sure there are others.

Obviously at this stage any content that might have been cut is a done deal, but what kept KOTOR2 from being more well-recieved were the glitches. Hopefully these delays will ensure we don't get that again still, I want it I want it I want it. Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!

September 19, 200619 yr Informative article on ATARI's financial position. In addition, Atari's sales and marketing VP Nique Fajors told Next-Gen recently that the firm aims to become more consumer-friendly: "This industry has been taking consumers for granted for way too long," he said.
