alanschu Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I think I did have a lighting bow. I got it from a Vampire (who was level 5 ) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll have to dig through CrashGirl's posts to find her mods. Might as well start fresh!
Dark_Raven Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Rage of Mages 2. I haven't played that since it came out, years ago. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
metadigital Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Heh. Finished Half-Life 2:Episode 1, only to find that I was within one savepoint of the end the first time I played it. Thinking of uninstalling Steam now, to free up some hardrive real estate. HDs are significantly faster when they are emptier. Just re-installed Deus Ex ... up to Hell's Kitchen :D OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
mkreku Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 HDs are significantly faster when they are emptier. Or when they are in a solid state.. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
Hell Kitty Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Currently playing Tomb Raider Legend on PC. Although the lighting is nice in next-gen mode, I prefer the clean and crisp look of the vanilla graphics setting to the "lets coat everything in normal mapping" of the next-gen mode.
Checkpoint Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I just picked up Civ 4 Warlords so I'll be playing that as soon as I install it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've been playing it lately. Pretty nice, but I'm using this "Real epic" mod that sort of makes it a touch too easy. ^Yes, that is a good observation, Checkpoint. /God
Calax Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Company of heroes and thinking about doing another run through of COD2. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
WITHTEETH Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Thinking of uninstalling Steam now, to free up some hardrive real estate. HDs are significantly faster when they are emptier. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I did not know that. So are there sweet spots for each harddrive capacity. If so, what is the sweet spot for say a 200 compared and a 400GB harddrive - both being defragged of course? Always outnumbered, never out gunned! alanschu Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Why would a Hard Drive be necessarily faster if they had more open space? Is the moving of the head onto different tracks really that much of a time waster?
Pop Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I'm tracking down my old Deus Ex game. This franchise is dead, right? God, if only they hadn't made IW so goddamn stupid Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!
Deraldin Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I just picked up Civ 4 Warlords so I'll be playing that as soon as I install it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've been playing it lately. Pretty nice, but I'm using this "Real epic" mod that sort of makes it a touch too easy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Finally got it installed after I located my Civ4 cd. Took me a full day of searching and cleaning before I remembered that it was in that neat cardboard sleeve instead of a jewel case. It had been sitting on my desk staring at me the entire time. :"> Started a Marathon game and I think that it's slowed things down just a little too much for me. I think I'll be sticking with Epic.
Musopticon? Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I just saw the end of Throne of Bhaal And Alien versus Predator 2. And Hostile Waters. And Hordes of the Underdark. What a hubby. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. It has made me the man I am today. A man who craves furry hentai. So let us go and embrace the rustling smells of unseen worlds
Llyranor Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I just got Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. There's a reissue this week. Also, I've been playing Megaman ZX for the past week. Awesome game. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
WITHTEETH Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 OBLIVION! Its awesome. I'm really digging it. I also picked up a copy of NWN1 while i was at it. Always outnumbered, never out gunned! Unreal Tournament 2004 Handle:Enlight_2.0 Myspace Website! My rig
Dark_Raven Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Perhaps I will play famous Starcraft after I get done watching my BSG 2.5 DVDs. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Darque Posted September 21, 2006 Author Posted September 21, 2006 You haven't lived until you've played Starcraft
Dark_Raven Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 How so? Looking at the little game guides that came with it, looks complex. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Pop Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 My computer will not recognize my copy of System Shock 2. I installed it from the disc and everything, but... it says it's not there Damn it all to hell! Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!

kumquatq3 Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 It's fun, 'nuff said :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just picked it up again after something like 2 years. SOOOoooooo much rust. I'm better now. We should have Obsidian forum games! Also, anyone played Company of Heros, seriously thinking about getting it.

Have you had luck in the past installing it on this computer? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I haven't installed it on this computer before, but I haven't had any backwards-compatibility issues with any of my games before, besides the obligatory DOS problems here and there. The issue is that the game won't recognize the disc, not that the computer doesn't recognize the game. Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!

Diamond Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I have just installed Steam and a few demos. I must say that after months and months of game deprivation I'm quite impressed how easy it is to get games (and how easy it is to spend money on it). Darwinia, DEFCON, Half-Life 2 and (maybe) Dark Messiah are on my to-buy list.
