Llyranor Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 You'll be supporting Atari! What more do you need? (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
Sargallath Abraxium Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 ...no swappin' CDs be the only "advantage", sounds like (or ye could jus' do a full install o' the games an' not 'ave to after installation anyways)...jus' a quick money grab fer all those who need new copies, I's'd imagine... " ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!... A long, long time ago, but I can still remember, How the Trolling used to make me smile. And I knew if I had my chance, I could egg on a few Trolls to "dance", And maybe we'd be happy for a while. But then Krackhead left and so did Klown; Volo and Turnip were banned, Mystake got run out o' town. Bad news on the Front Page, BIOweenia said goodbye in a heated rage. I can't remember if I cried When I heard that TORN was recently fried, But sadness touched me deep inside, The day...Black Isle died. For tarna, Visc, an' the rest o' the ol' Islanders that fell along the way
Volourn Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 And, for those gamers who weren't around when the games were released - afterall it's been nearly 10 years since BG1 so that's pretty much a whole new generation of gamers. I say more power to Atari in this case. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

Volourn Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 Atari obviously disagrees hence this and their fear of NWN1 being a threat to NWN2. LOL :D DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Musopticon? Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 They're freking cheap though, so I guess there's going to be bought copies sooner or later. And I can finally play ToB and finish that damn plot. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Jumjalum Posted May 28, 2006 Author Posted May 28, 2006 **** Damn, I had to test that one. They really blocked it. :D We now bring you live footage from the World Championship Staring Final.
Dark_Raven Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 And, for those gamers who weren't around when the games were released - afterall it's been nearly 10 years since BG1 so that's pretty much a whole new generation of gamers. RIP You'll be missed.
Atreides Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Didn't Obsidian get the rights to IWD? Spreading beauty with my katana.
Arkan Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 And, for those gamers who weren't around when the games were released - afterall it's been nearly 10 years since BG1 so that's pretty much a whole new generation of gamers. I say more power to Atari in this case. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Almost ten years old. 1998 ws its release date. Lets not be pushing the age thing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He did say nearly ten years. "Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger." - Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials "I have also been slowly coming to the realisation that knowledge and happiness are not necessarily coincident, and quite often mutually exclusive" - meta
Volourn Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 (edited) No. That's a myth. They got rights to some IWD related materials, I believe. certain people ran with that and claimed it meant Obsidian owned IWD. If they *did* own IWD franchise, at the very minimum, you'd see their name mentioned in this upcoming release. P.S. Arkan 4 THA W! Edited May 29, 2006 by Volourn DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
213374U Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 I'll be getting these if I can find them. The CD swapping I really hate. They are going to be a collector's item in a few years, too... - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
Arkan Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 They are going to be a collector's item in a few years, too... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Okay.... "Of course the people don't want war. 213374U Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Thanks for your support. It means so much to me. - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
WinterSun Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 I might get this to see what Tales of the Sword Coast is like. It's the only game there I don't have. master of my domain Pedicabo ego vos et irrumabo.
MrBrown Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Hmm. I might get them, depending on mod-compatibility. Does the IWD one come with Trials of the Luremaster (or whatever it was called)?
Gorth Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Should BG1 and ToTSC become available on a single DVD, then I would definitely buy it. The one game I'm missing in my Infinity Engine collection “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
