Blarghagh Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 (edited) Weezer - This Is Such A Pity Weezer has got to be the most inconsistent band ever. On one side, you have such brilliant poprock gems like The Blue Album and Pinkerton, but on the other, there's boring repetitive tripe like The Green Album and Make Believe. Of course, I shouldn't complain about bands being inconsistent and still adore everything Pearl Jam has ever released. Baley Posted April 27, 2006 Author Posted April 27, 2006 But it's still HIM, I hope you use a lot of soap.
kirottu Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I actually was in HIM gig after the first album. You could actually walk around without bumping in to 16 year old girl, with leather mini skirt and screaming for Valo to take her virginity. Baley Posted April 27, 2006 Author Posted April 27, 2006 (edited) You actually paid money to see them? This was what, 96-97? You were 15? And why do girls like that emo-scumbanger? I mean, come on, get some bloody sense! And these teeny-boppers dare say men are shallow. Hah! Meat Puppets - Whirlpool Edited April 27, 2006 by Baley
Blarghagh Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 (edited) I hated HIM before I even heard one song. Why? HEARTAGRAMS. Heartagrams are so not KRIEG. Nor metal, grim, frostbitten, tr00 or kvlt. Kamelot - Wings Of Despair (if all power metal was this good, the genre would not be a terrible self-parody) Edited April 27, 2006 by TrueNeutral
Darth Drabek Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 (edited) So what's their deal? HIM, that is. I asked a while back but none of you crazy Scandanavians responded. I hear they're popular with the Nordic crowd. Are they like the Finnish gothic version of Bon Jovi? I haven't been in a mall lately, but I bet the Hot Topic crowd loves 'em over here too. I do think they did a good job with that Chris Isaak cover, "Wicked Game," however. edit: Screaming Trees - Nearly Lost You Edited April 27, 2006 by Darth Drabek baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
Baley Posted April 27, 2006 Author Posted April 27, 2006 (edited) It's emo for goths. Saul Williams - Om Nia Merican Edited April 27, 2006 by Baley
Blarghagh Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Yeah, it's goths playing emo. Also, they claim to play love metal. What else needs to be said? Skyclad - Skyclad
