My housemate from college tried to put on some Lovage to set the mood.... and it kinda freaked the girl. Not entirely surprising, I suppose. We had a good laugh about it later.

 

I am a big fan of 1965 by the Afghan Whigs. Great album for listening and for, well... that too. Not as cerebral as Black Love, or even Gentlemen, but the band is cookin' and the production captured it all: guitars, horns, and sweet soul backup singers.
