If by "very Star Wars" you mean "filled with Star Wars cliches", then yes, it was very Star Wars.

K2 had a better storyline. The evidence is exactly the same as the one the K2 bashers in this thread coined; it's reproduced below in this post.

Sw is one big cliche

How can it be a no ob build. It has PROVEN effective. I dare you to show your builds and I will tear you apart in an arugment about how these builds will won them.

True. But while simple might be desirable for a 3 hour movie it's not for a 40 hour game which has the time to do more than just scratch the surface.

I have to agree with Volourn.  Bioware is pretty much dead now.  Deals like this kills development studios.

Has anyone played K2 before K1?

Yes. Yes i did...

"Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

Yeah, you are righ Paladin. But it didn't annoy me. There were only few things that annoyed me, like T3 as clone of R2D2.

K2 was good game, but not good as first. Anyway, I wonder why haven't anyone mentioned this as flaw of k2: Its it too easy, more easier than k1. No challenge at all. Boring <_<

K1 was also very easy. both games are actually two of the easiest RPGs I've ever played.

Perhaps because K1 wasnt any challenge at all ? As NwN in space, it was all quite familiar stuff.

The item creation in K2 definately meant you could own the game if you really wanted too. But I find that with item creation in most games. It's whether or not you trust the player to use and not abuse it. Otherwise item creation becomes integrel rather than than optional which restricts just how you can build characters.

Random loot sucks

If you "abused" the item creation then yes it was. If you didnt , they were about even. Although GOTO's place with only two characters (took a wrong turn) and neither of them having destroy droid was quite a challenge.

Purely random loot yes. A game does need to provide a minimal set of "tools" for you to accomplish your task. However a good mix of random loot can also make replaying more interesting as you cant simply predict what will drop at any time.

Random loot does tend to annoy people who always want to have the best stuff though.

But Freedon Nadd had 20 blasters!

DAWUSS

Dawes ain't too bright. Hitting rock bottom is when you leave 2 tickets on the dash of your car, leave it unlocked hoping someone will steal them & when you come back, there are 4 tickets on your dashboard.

Maybe people kept stealing them to sell on Ebay.

Seriously though you could simply erase an item from the drop list once it has dropped.

Random loot sucks if it is not implemented properly. Finding ten Freedon Nadds blaster, armor is just plain stupid.

exactly

At one playthrough, I only found short lightsabers.

Going from how many times you have played the game, to the wonderful random loot generator? Death by derailment.
