It's fun so far. Outdoor areas kind of lag @ 25-30fps, but indoor areas run great. I'll post more screens later.

Must...get...new....computer....first...

And Source even runs on my P IV 1.7 with GeForce 2GTS in 1024x768

Hmmm, this is a battle I am going to loose. Some background info on this loss;

 

* The entry point of most caravans was heavily loaded with Goblin Watchtowers and later Strangling Flowerweed

* Another entry point hold it's first caravan stuck in trees the whole 32 days. Good thing a bunch of rustspitters got stuck on him too

* Very soon into the game it decided it was fun on a single day to throw a bunch of poisoned weaponed rogues, large quanitities of flowering strangleweed and 3 fortified goblin strongeholds on me...

* Due to being yellow these rogues could easily go to some goblin strongholds to attack them, but doing so caused massive attack-forces to assault my unprepared town, since all heroes were elsewhere

* Not long after the rogues came barbarians. Barbarians + poisoned rogues = no fun

* These "accidents" were very common. Ever three days I got 3 accidents in a row.

* I generated so many dead bodies graveyards actually dissapeared (on day 32 I had one graveyard... while I HAD 3)

 

And much much more, but the pic will speak for itself I hope:

Its runs on Bokishi's slower because he most likely has his resolution and effects on full blast.

meh... I did some fun stuff in mannassas..

I just beat Sin and it was worth the purchase for the last few levels alone! Anyway I said I'll post more screenies, so here's the intro:

 

It starts with the villians trying to decide what to do with your kidnapped, unconscious, self

 

 

You then get rescued by this chick

 

 

Who leads you out of the complex

 

 

To her car

 

 

And then you go for a drive, while she briefs you on the situation

 

 

Yet you have a hard time listening....

 

 

Because you'd rather fantasize about the villian in her bikini!

 

 

After you ditch the car you go shoot some fools

That doesn't necessarily mean anything. It's possible to make a level with the original Quake engine that can make current computers crawl. Just give it ridiculously stupid, unnecessarily high polygon counts.

 

 

I can run Half-Life 2 fine on my rig. But my computer does struggle with the HDR update that they released. Mostly because I'm pretty sure my card doesn't support it in hardware (Radeon 9800 Pro).

 

 

In any case, my comment was more due to the fact that I'm not buying any new games until my new computer comes in.
