213374U Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Hold on a second... pr0n and booze will rot my brain!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
Nick_i_am Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Isn't rockstar scottish? (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
astr0creep Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 games will rot your brain... probably as bad as pr0n and booze. uncle fergie had a scholarship to julliard as a dancer... then he started playing games. oh sure, seemed like a harmless 'nuff pass time as he dumped quarter after quarter into the space invaders arcade game... but then he got an atari 2600... and then a comodore 64... and then a mac. julliard were forgotten, replaced by the mountain dew guzzling game glutton you see today... a myopic and graceless parasite whose ultimate goal is to ruin the future of today's youth by means of games. just as that that insatiable slattern named Video Games took from him his ambition and his physique so many years ago, he wishes the same ruin and sorrow and regret to consume the 21st century's xbox and ps generation of kids. is a tale of woe... one we should all pay heed to. over the top? HA! Good Fun! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wow. It's like looking in a mirror. Do we know each other Gromnir? http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
Surreptishus Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Yes, Rockstar North (GTA series) is scottish, they have a US arm (among others) that made Midnight Run.
metadigital Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Bioware is canadian, right? Rockstar is english... i think. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bioware merged with Pandemic. Rockstar is American to the core. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, it's not. Or at least it wasn't. There was an award programme on and Rockstar was one of the finalists in BRITISH DESIGN. Kevin_Osburn Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 So I get to work this morning and check my email, low and behold Dianne Feinstein actually had a response constructed for everyone who contacted her. Since I know not everyone did this, I felt compelled to copy and paste it for all to read. Dear Mr. Osburn: Thank you for contacting me with your concerns about the Family Entertainment Protection Act. I appreciate hearing from you. In my lifetime, I have watched an increase in gratuitous violence and indecent sexually-explicit material in video games and the media as well as on television and the radio. I believe that some material is simply not appropriate for all audiences. As a grandmother, I often worry about what my own grandchildren are exposed to in video games, television, movies and other forms of media. Federal regulations in this area and all others have developed through balancing two important principles: protecting the well-being of minors while simultaneously following the constitutional protections afforded under the First Amendment. As legislation, such as the Federal Entertainment Protection Act, is introduced to address these issues, these will be my guiding principles. Please know that I will keep your particular concerns in mind should the Senate consider this bill. Thank you again for writing. If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me or my Washington, DC staff at (202) 224-3841 or at http://feinstein.senate.gov. Sincerely yours, Dianne Feinstein United States Senator
astr0creep Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 What I get from the above statement is that the government is taking the place of the parents. They're too busy working I suppose... Gotta pay those taxes. <_< http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
