  1. I see what you mean. From a game development position, it was completely off. From the way they tested the games (take levels, find bugs, explain how to fix), and the fact he made an Xbox game at home without a PC, was just funny. I have worked for a couple of companies now, and the are in either cubicles or sectioned off area for QA. But the amount of toys that is displayed in the movie is a bit dramatic. I dunno, I guess I didn't see that many similiarities. Cheers!
  2. What did "Grandma's Boy" get right about life in QA? I watched the movie, and I have 4+ years experience in QA, and that movie was nothing like QA and testing games, or even the game industry for that matter.
  3. I watched Half Nelson last week. It was a very good movie, I highly recommend it. Ryan Gosling did an amazing job, and definitely deserved his Oscar nomination.
  4. So I get to work this morning and check my email, low and behold Dianne Feinstein actually had a response constructed for everyone who contacted her. Since I know not everyone did this, I felt compelled to copy and paste it for all to read. Dear Mr. Osburn: Thank you for contacting me with your concerns about the Family Entertainment Protection Act. I appreciate hearing from you. In my lifetime, I have watched an increase in gratuitous violence and indecent sexually-explicit material in video games and the media as well as on television and the radio. I believe that some material is simply not appropriate for all audiences. As a grandmother, I often worry about what my own grandchildren are exposed to in video games, television, movies and other forms of media. Federal regulations in this area and all others have developed through balancing two important principles: protecting the well-being of minors while simultaneously following the constitutional protections afforded under the First Amendment. As legislation, such as the Federal Entertainment Protection Act, is introduced to address these issues, these will be my guiding principles. Please know that I will keep your particular concerns in mind should the Senate consider this bill. Thank you again for writing. If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me or my Washington, DC staff at (202) 224-3841 or at http://feinstein.senate.gov. Sincerely yours, Dianne Feinstein United States Senator
  5. Two for the Money Starring: Al Pacino, and Matthew McConaghey I didn't care for this too much, and seemed much longer than it needed to be weighing in at 2 hours. A History of Violence Starring: Viggo Mortensen, Maria Bello, and Ed Harris It was an awesome movie, and I highly recommend it. Its one of the few movies that actually lives up to the hype.
  6. I couldn't have said it better myself...
  7. The number 1 reality show is................. The Flavor of Love on VH1! An epic journey of one old school rapper on his search for top of the line booty call. With more psycho chicks than you can shake a stick at. Flavor Flav!
  8. I never saw the original, so I couldn't say for sure. I do know that Wes Craven served as an Executive Producer for the new one, so I imagine it isn't that different. I wouldn't compare it to Wrong Turn, but I would compare it to House of 1000 corpses or Devil's Rejects. -Kevin
  9. Sorry about not including this with the other thread. Please close this :D
  10. I just saw this movie over the weekend, and I have to say its pretty sick and twisted. Has anybody else seen this and thought the same, or am I just twisted myself? -Kevin
  11. No way dude, he needs a few more years. His decision making abilities on the field need to improve, big time. He'll get there someday though, after his big brother...
  12. People actually watched that show after Jessica left? -Kevin
