What's taking so long? It's not like the site was *that* big after all, some nice graphics, a few interviews, and the same old screenshots. An okish site, but nothing that would take days to fix..

Ah, I see you are a stranger to the process of software due diligence. One major problematic consideration is that every change to a piece of software, no matter how small and well intentioned, can potentially affect every other line of code in an unpredictable way: predictability inversely proportional to complexity of code.

So just imagine what an ad hoc, poorly thought out patch might do ...

It wasn't that impressive.

It's the principle of the thing. ;)

Yep nothing to get excited about so don't cry too hard over it.

I'll....I'll...I'll try....................................... :'(

I thought the IWD2 site was quite impressive when it came. Can't remember why though.

It had nice colors and was graphically pleasant to the eyes.

It has been so long since I played the game I have blissfully forgotten most of the details. Once the gizka crew finish their update I might re-install and play again.

am i just confused or is this a spam thread

Don't blame us. We were happily discussing a real site when it disappeared. Atari and/or Obsidian created the vacuum into which the spam is pouring.

So, when are they going to put up the site again?

As soon as they've thought up a good excuse for why it went down in the first place.

Well, a good design should implement as many design patterns to limit coupling as possible.

I just implemented a Strategy design pattern today

I hope you get some sort of strategic authority ...
