alanschu Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 "don't know why the web site at Atari, they aren't doing much of anything for the game. It should be here." Eh? Not doing much? They're the publisher. No Atari, no NWN. No Obsidian, and we'd likely still would have had NWN2. A ****ing echo in here? That's what I said they aren't doing much except publish the game. If they did some actual work on it like Bio and Obs than yeah maybe it should be on their site. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, they're "only" publishing the game.
karka Posted February 24, 2006 Author Posted February 24, 2006 And they can't just keep a site open...
karka Posted February 24, 2006 Author Posted February 24, 2006 Hey, it came after a year. I don't call that "easy".
ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Maybe they didnt want to deal with two boards like before and It only just occured to Atari. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327[/snapback]
metadigital Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I missed it! :'( OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
6 Foot Invisible Rabbit Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 This is just messed in the head. Either put the site up or not. You just don't put a site up then remove it without giving a reason. Harvey
metadigital Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Probably wasn't officially launched. OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
alanschu Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 As in someone flipped the switch prematurely. Atari can do whatever they want though. It's their game. I don't recall any official announcements that the page was active anyways.
aVENGER Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 The PR guy said that they temporarily took it down in order to fix some errors, it should be up again later today. He also confirmed that yesterday was indeed the official site launch date.
Junai Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 What's taking so long? It's not like the site was *that* big after all, some nice graphics, a few interviews, and the same old screenshots. An okish site, but nothing that would take days to fix.. J.
SteveThaiBinh Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Well, they're in California. I think it's still early. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)
alanschu Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I did notice some mistakes. Like the Bone Spider being a Large Construct, and the Iron Golem being a Medium Undead. They're likely just going over it with a comb to make sure little things like that aren't present.
alanschu Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 Or they were email bombed with "OMG IR0N G0L3M i5 NOT MEDIUM UND34D!"
Gabrielle Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 WotC is probably cracking that whip. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The whip of Lolth.
LoneWolf16 Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 It's still not up...and I missed it the first time. I had thought that some of nature's journeymen had made men and not made them well, for they imitated humanity so abominably. - Book of Counted Sorrows 'Cause I won't know the man that kills me and I don't know these men I kill but we all wind up on the same side 'cause ain't none of us doin' god's will. - Everlast
Darque Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 It's still not up...and I missed it the first time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It wasn't that impressive.
Gabrielle Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 Yep nothing to get excited about so don't cry too hard over it.
