Darth Nihilus was an interesting concept IMO, but something bugged me. Even though he is refered to as a "he", the character model seem to me to suggest that "he" was infact a "she" (w00t) . I know it may be hard to tell, as hes wearing a robe and wears a mask, but what do you think about Female Darth Nihilus? or maybe Darth Nihilus should'nt even have a gender, considering what *it* is...

Nihilus didn't look like e female to me, quite the opposite actually. There aren't many "normal" women, who are build like Nihilus as you see him in the video sequences...

I guess that could be up for grabs, especially with those who think Nihilus is the product of the Exile

maybe, I suppose its open to interpretation, like if you are a Male LS (what I played as), then *it* could be the exact opposite, being a DS female. like a "good" and "bad" void which cancel each other.

I was thinking *it* was female because of the "creases" on *its* chest. Im just speculating, thats all :cool:

I know Visas only knew of *him* when he destroyed her world, ie all covered up mumbling giberish, but how long did kriea know him? I mean all he says is gibberish sounds. If neither Kriea or Visas knew *him* as a man, then most likely they would assume that he IS a man, simply because it would be funny saying *it* all the time.

 

As I know from the plot, he is a wound in the force, he consumes it. I think he came into existance after Malachor V, when Revan defeated the Mandalorians, but did he come into existance as that black caped thing with a mask, or was he a proper Jedi like the exile, but is so much of a wound in the force that he has no body anymore?

 

PS: I now believe he is male. I started this thread simply for curiosity and to have a discussion about the possibility that Nihilus was female, as you cannot tell from looking at him (everyone covered up would look the same!)

Let Gabs be a lesson to you all. No matter how bad you might want some one to be female, they are what they are and nothing can change that.

Seeing as how Kreia was very knowledgable about the Jedi of her time and of the Sith, I'm pretty sure she knew who Nihilus was before he became Nihilus.

 

Plus I never thought of Nihilus as a girl but I would love a young Sith Lady ... maybe for K3

Ive seen some pictures where they have Atris on the right (LS) and Nihilus on the left (DS). For people who havent played the game yet or have not got that far, they might not know any better, as that picture might imply that they are the same person, just the LS and DS versions. :cool: And Yes I know He IS a man! Whats wrong with speculating otherwise? I mean the main character can be male OR female, why not any of the other characters?

 

Edit: If you saw this picture *before* you played the game, what would you think? After seeing some of the other pictures aswell that show LS and DS versions of your teams, one might conclude that these two are the same person.

That's nonsense, theres nothing remotely female about Nilihus. If he wasn't in a humenoid shape I would have my doubts to him being human.

If you get into a deep conversation with Kreia she tells you she trained Nilihus and Sion

he wasn't even a human form, he was force energy. besides visas says "and he made me see!" so maybe he was a male. or as my gender ed class would say its the malecentered language of a male driven opressive world or some bs like that

*ahem!* If my memory is correct, I believe I have the answer.

 

On the Ravager, provided that Visas is still alive after your battle with Nihilus, she will make a request to look at her former master's body. If you grant it, she will go up and kneel by him for a second. Upon her return, you can ask her what she saw. Her reply is...*drumroll*...

'I saw a man. Nothing more.'

Visas, in my opinion ,was not a true Sith Lady. She seemed confused to me and plus you could turn her to the light side. When I think of a Sith Lady I think of someone like Ysanne Isard. Cold and calculating and even turned on her own father.

I understand what you are saying. Before K2 came out they had this screen where it would change between Atris and Nihilus and Atris's face matched Nihilus's mask perfectly. I thought Atris would be Darth Nihilus. But I guess they are the what rolls the wheels of the game in the background ie. Atris putting the Exile in to play and Nihilus destroying Katarr.

Or in voice. That croaking could only be from a male.

Was KOTOR II really worth the cost it took to develop the game, market it, and sell it? I mean, come on! The game is barely complete and they still sold it! If you are going to sell someting, then why don't you finish it! I work for my self, and if you are going to do a job, and you want to keep on doing it, then you do it well! Just a thought.

He's shaped like a man, at least has broad shoulders and tall under all that cloak n robes. his mask is somewhat manly although i find his character weak and unimpressive

 

ooh look at me camped out on this moody bridge even though i barely play any part in the game and sure die easily despite the pretense of danger
