  1. That moment had an evil feeling in a 'good' way. Killing of half of your crew made you feel, as already stated, cheap. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes.. the Republic got humanized in a big way. I was all ready to enjoy my new Galactic Empire and Empress only to have the game tear my enthusiasm out
  2. He's shaped like a man, at least has broad shoulders and tall under all that cloak n robes. his mask is somewhat manly although i find his character weak and unimpressive ooh look at me camped out on this moody bridge even though i barely play any part in the game and sure die easily despite the pretense of danger
  3. Haha, I won against him the very first set we played, then he said that this couldn't be right and wanted to start over, i really did start over for some reason, reloading a previous pazaak less save
  4. Regarding Malak vs Kreia, I had a rather different experience, I found Kreia to be easier than Malak. Although Malak can be defeated by robotically making the right decisions and beating on him, with Kreia I simply ran away from her 3 sabers, then ran back around them and force jumped to her. Slice & dice, I win the end. Whereas w/ Malak it was a long slog with necessary meds, but then I was a consular when I took him on. I've only finished Kotor 1 & 2 each once so far That said, in K1 consulars had a lower attack rating so that contributed. Without his toy tanks, Malak is indeed easier than Kreia with her 3 summoned lightsabers - if one had to stand and take them on, duke it out
  5. With regards to Sion I had no clue how to beat him I just kicked his @ss and insulted him. "break his will" as you call it. simple enough
  6. I hate Hanharr. I love Fury. I admire the LS hero, but I lack the self-restraint to be one. My decisions naturally tend toward dark gray
  7. Kotor 1's story was complete. The designers also purposely strived for recreating the magic of the original trilogy, and a cinematic feel.. that latter of which was only partly achieved. Too many areas were butt ugly, and things could have been fleshed out more. That said, it really only needs a facelift, the artwork for certain things and certain areas and the interface from Kotor2 will do nicely. Then it will be one kickass game. it is linear and simplistic but that is going along with the movie experience. The player does not have to think or try too hard, just let the story unfold. However, I noticed that many of the worlds, for instance Manaan, could have, with development, been self-contained games in and of themselves. Imagine a game entirely set upon Manaan with the same basic story, or better. Then, imagine such games for each of the planets, then tied all together into one big Kotor. That would rock. That would be truly epic. That would almost certainly be one godly game. That said, the developers did a good job in developing the skeleton of the planets enough so that such fleshing out was not necessary for a passable enjoyable experience. They did a good job seizing upon the bare essentials.. unfortunately imo too bare, especially w/ regards to artwork for certain things. The cinematic effect was pulled of quite nicely though, both in story elements and also in breathtaking vistas. I had hoped not to write pages and pages of review.. I wouldn't even read it. But let's continue :D Kotor 2 showed its Black Isle legacy pretty strongly. It also seems to draw upon System Shock 2. Can say Aliens, Star Control et al., Mission Critical too. It had great promise and there were several points especially relatively early in the game where I thought in ecstasy and with great joy 'I love this game.' Peragus had potential for an Aliens or System Shock 2 experience; was merely ok but that is ok as well since it is only the beginning. I liked the situations I found myself in, the broken ship, the mysterious station, Telos arrest, getting shot down, and there is good humor and excitement. I loved having my own new empty ship even moreso than Kotor 1. Nar Shadda was pretty cool and Onderon is badass, space battle, mysterious moon landing, and Onderon planetfall, although I would have preferred even more gigantic battles. That said, I didn't think much of the characters, despite clever words, and the story is unfinished unfortunately. Dantooine and Korriban are rehashed. This game was well made and detailed, it had fun and awesomely cool parts, but it was not finished. Kotor 1 was not as detailed but it was finished
  8. 'twas. I thought I did a fine order. Dantooine, Korriban, Nar Shadda and Onderon. Made sense as an adventure. Find the Jedi, seek out the Sith, run from the Sith, then party time haha So what is the mistake with doing Onderon last. ? I strongly felt like going straight to Korriban the first time but reloaded. I do see that there is a problem with the tomb.. also I want to get party characters early next time. But Onderon planetfall is best with a character ready to roll imo
  9. Atris : Do you know what you have done ? Exile : Yeah, I killed two planets with one explosion Or I've already killed one planet, I can kill another
  10. there are many, here's a quick few: "A force cage? This is ridiculous." "Get up, Sith Lord, and I will prove to you that you can die."
  11. I've only finished the game once, as a neutral guardian. I have no basis for comparison but it certainly was not difficult. As for decision making, I went with whatever I personally thought best.. unfortunately such did not obtain me my prestige class
