Invoker
"Ah, we are all heroes...you and Boo and I. Hamsters and rangers everywhere, rejoice!" This line being repeated like a stuck record is my number 1 pet hate about BG2 and reason enough to leave Minsc behind. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not to mention: "The bars! They BEND AND TWIST with my Berzerker Strength! Minsc and Boo are free! Now you will... now... now?" Althought funny at first, it gets sort of annoying in the long run. Not to mention Jaheiras constant complaining about "We must strive to maintain balance." Bugs? Klingon Software does not have 'Bugs'. It has FEATURES and they are too sophisticated for a Romulan pig like you to understand! HK-47: "Recitation: First, weapon selection is critical. If I see one more idiot attacking a Jedi with a blaster pistol, then I'll kill them myself." HK-47: "Answer: Select grenades, sonic screamers, cluster rockets and plasma charges. Mines are also effective, since many Jedi will run to meet you in hand to hand combat. Silly Jedi."
CoM_Solaufein
I like making children do the screaming alpha dance in the Fallouts. Yeah, I am a sick bastard. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sick but in a good way. Think of the children! Flame on! CoM_Solaufein
Along with those already mentioned, HK-47 was pretty cool. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No he wasn't. I maybe chuckled at him calling me a meatbag the first few times. Repitition of such things wears thin...fast. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> HK is the funniest character in both Kotor games. Pretty damned sad if you think about it. ~Di
LOL, yes I adore Morte. But the question was NOT the funniest RPG character ever... which I agree would be Morte... but the funniest RPG ever... which is without doubt the magnificent and under-rated Anachronox. SteveThaiBinh
The first big laugh I ever had from an RPG was playing Ultima VII and realising that the Guardian's evil generators were a cube, a sphere and a pyramid, the same as EA's logo. Judge Hades
The Kill Bill wannabe scene in Bloodlines is hilarious with Celerity 4. Fighting a crapload of tong with machine guns, knives, and katanas is down right funny specially when you send multiple bodies flying in the air in slow motion. I think I had at most 5 at one time. Jumjalum
Games aren't funny. They're deadly serious. Funny games tend to suck, and are automatically thrown in the trash. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jeez, I often can't get into a game if it takes itself too seriously, especially if there's lots of good and evil going around. A Vampire game with no humour would be sheer hell for me. We now bring you live footage from the World Championship Staring Final.
SteveThaiBinh
Was that an premonition of things to come for Origin? No, it was just a joke, and one that EA enjoyed just as much as everyone else, for it is a friendly and happy company and not a company that would, say, swallow up its competitor and force it to release an attrocious bug-ridden sequel that destroyed the whole franchise. I like humour too, but I don't know that I'd like a 'humourous RPG' that was designed and marketed as such. Some of the Quest for Glory games came close, but I think just stayed on the right ride of sanity. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now."
