Question about HK Pacifist chip

Admitingly never tried it before (HK to enjoyable as blood thirsty droid) so this game I picked it up but when I went to install it I couldnt?

 

Do I need to install it BEFORE activating him?

I would install it after him, that way you get his first dialogues out of the way. I never isntalled it before his activation so I don't know if it makes a difference or not.

hmmm weird, I cant find any option to install it into him so its just sitting in inventory right now!

After you activate him, talk to him, and it will give you a "I found an upgrade part for you" dialog option - take it - it's the funniest thing in the game ...

Where do you get the pacifist package? I've heard about it, but never acquired it.

From what I've gathered you have to first complete the trade war quest for the female rodian merchant on Nar Shadaa. She either gives it to you or has it in stock after you finish the quest.

I suppose you could use a savegame editor to give it to yourself. Or you could use the ingame console and do it that way, if you don't mind the "CHEATS USED" message being printed over your savegame pictures. But the only honest way that I know to get it is from the female rodian on Nar Shadaa.
