Besides, if they intended Brianna to be sent by Atris, it would contradict the current cutscenes where the outcome is unexpected by Atris... and why would Atris send her to spy on a male Exile, but not female? If it's Brianna's own decision, this question does not arise. I just assumed she snuck onboard on her on free will since she is the odd one out with the ambition/curiosity. Who knows maybe GOTO isn't really a bore if he had all of his background info left in the game. Not saying anything was cut of his just using an example.
