Nartwak
In case anybody's interested, Lionhead Studio's The Movies has gone gold.
Musopticon?
I'm not interested in the game as such, but more in Lionhead. Can they redeem themselves? Will Molyneux stay Molyneux? Judge Hades
Redeem? Why did they need to redeem themselves. So far I like their games. Certainly they fell short of the hype, which every single game does, but that doesn't change the fact I have had fun playing them.
Musopticon?
Almost 5 years of hype and then not delivering is a big issue in my books. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. Nartwak
You should buy the game and direct your screenplay Hades_One.

Judge Hades
Sure, why not? I get the game when it comes out.
Nartwak
I think it would pretty cool if you did.
GhostofAnakin
The concept actually looks somewhat interesting. I think I'll wait for reviews to see how well the game actually mimics the description of what it is supposed to accomplish, though. ShadowPaladin V1.0
I'd be very suprised if it actually came anywhere close to the subject its trying to simulate. Comes across more of a Sims at the Movie studio rather than an actual game. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327[/snapback]
Judge Hades
I might need a modeler though so I could import some graphics in. One of the character types I have in my screen play often wears golden armor, cloaks, a KotOR Sith Trooper helm, wielding an energy blade/gun with an energy shield. Kaftan Barlast
Lionhead cant make good games. What they do is take a normal, mediocre game and give it some fancy peripherals and then hype it to kingdom come. Its all style and no substance B&W was a mediocre strategy game hidden under the guise of a "god-game" with your very own tamagohci to play with. Fable was bad, plain and simple, boring and generic but hyped. So what if I could change my chars hairstyle and watch him age? That alone does not a good game make. Im not buying a Lionhead game.. ever I'd be very suprised if it actually came anywhere close to the subject its trying to simulate. Comes across more of a Sims at the Movie studio rather than an actual game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think thats pretty much what it will be, yeah. Hurlshort
I liked Fable. It was a fun 20 hours of gaming. I got to have 3 wives, full body tatoos, and I was able to brag about my greatness. It was a great start to a series, and if they released a few more games with the same mechanics and a different story, I'd buy them. Unfortunately, the Lost Chapters is not enough for me, and I'm not sure it did well enough for a true sequel.

But I gave up on it after about 5 or 6 hours since it was boring me to death. The only reason I even played for that long was because I forced myself to give it a try to see if it got better. It never did, IMO. Judge Hades
I never saw fable as a CRPG but more of an action game with out of character CRPGishness.
ShadowPaladin V1.0
Fable was mildly entertaining. The combat system wasnt horrible and curiosity about what was behind the doors kept me playing. Glad I returned it, but it would have been ok as a rental. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. mkreku
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/movies...utoplay=6135330 Check out the hands-on preview (the film clip) of The Movies. It looks really good! I haven't been too interested in this, but from what you can see (and hear) about the game, it really sounds as if they might pull this one off. I can also imagine the myriads of add-ons Lionhead can release for this title. More sets, more actors and more manuscripts! Let's hope it's as good as it looks and sounds.
