SadExchange Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 I heard someone say that you had to be connected to the internet while you actually play these modules. Is that true? Or do you just have to be connected to get them(of course).

Anyone? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They're selling Kingmaker in stores now. It comes with a disk and you don't have to be connected to the internet to play it. You just need NWN, SotU and HoU. They also have modules that can be downloaded straight from the net, but those need net access to play. Judge Hades Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Each time you start a new game or load a saved game it sends a signal to the Bioware servers to authenicate the modules. If you cannot connect to the net or the Bioware servers are down you cannot play the premium modules that you have downloaded.

Sure BioWare doesn't have to do anything they don't want, but they're in the business of listening to the majority of their fans (ie. people who keep them in business).
