I like the "What If's"

 

Particularly "what if Magneto had helped create the Xmen?"

 

Basically Cyke and Havok and Sabertooth work for sinister... and sinister controls the Sentinels

He does have his own comic book series... but the show sounds awful.

Ultimate sucks. It screwed up the charaqcters.

I disagree. I think the Ultimate versions are excellent. I grew up with these characters and love the originals, but the Ultimate versions was a fresh view. And if you don't like the Ultimate versions, then just don't read them. They don't affect the core mythology in anyway.

 

Either way, the Marvel way with Ultimates has got to be better than how DC does things. How many times have they restarted their mythology by now?

3 off the top of my head... Crisis, the Kingdom (kingdom Come's sequel), and Zero Hour.

Good one. It killed off a bunch of useless mutants. Plus it made Caliban real cool.

AoA was amazing, can't remeber much of Massacre on the other hand. Was it the whole morlock/reaver thing?

Yep. Mister Sinister sends his Marauders into the Morlock Tunnels on a mission to kill everything. Great guy Mr. Sinister. His coolness is next to Apocalypse. AoA was another great story.

And the result was one of my old favorite characters; Marrow. Also, the whole trust issue between Remy and the group was interesting. Too bad, I missed the Massacre itself.

Angel lost his wings... Wolverine first fought Sabertooth in the comic and Kurt, shadowcat, and Colossus were nearly killed.

I just bought some Ultimate issues. I'm very interested, to say the least, how the've changed the characters.

Angel got what he deserved for turning traitor on his fellow X-Men. But Apocalypse is that charming and influencial.

I'm willing to bet there was a quite a bit of psycho-training, drug-infused and hypnotic re-"habitation" involved. Not to mention good ol'En Sabah Nur having telepaths on his disposal.

Didn't that happen after the Mutant Massacre? My memory is a bit fuzzy, I'll admit, but didn't that happen when Apocalypse turned Angel into Archangel giving him his wings back? Or rather new wings.

Are you mixing this with one of the other encounters with Apocalypse?

Which is one reason why Ultimate X-men were needed. There was too much baggage to draw in new readers in the core books.

What do we learn from all of this? F5 for the win.

Angel was still on the Xmen during the massacre... he didn't get subverted until later.

Are they going to do another animated Xmen ? Last one I saw was Evolution.
