Dark Moth Posted July 28, 2005 Share Posted July 28, 2005 I like the double-bladed. In K2 my guardian/weapon master had superior two-weapon fighting and used a double-bladed lightsaber. I destroyed pretty much everyone (except the hard bosses) in one or two hits. But if I had to choose between two sabers and a saber staff(as it was originally called), I'd have to take the staff. Primarily because it reminds me of the incredible skill Darth Maul, perhaps the best swordsman in the movies, swiftly danced through his foes. Two sabers seems like choice for a munchkin while the staff is elegant, a single continuation of the wielders will and strength and skill, like the force. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. Two sabers seems like choice for a munchkin while the staff is elegant, a single continuation of the wielders will and strength and skill, like the force. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The thing about Maul tho, is that the actor who played him was some kung foo guy who was really really skilled and made maul that much better...but in concept of character creation Lucas Wanted dooku to be the fast smooth elegant one, Maul was supposed to be brash, and even tho christopher lee has been a swordman in many movies over the years, he is older now, and most of it wasn't him fighting...it was digital...because he was fighting yoda....little green digital puke stain. lol....but I think Dooku is my favorite Sith in the movies. He's not whiny/a moron like vader....Sidious was my favorite...still is...just not when it comes to fighting...I didnt like how it came out in ep 3...something seemed off...and maul is my second fav. but dooku is number one...he was highly intelligent and handled himself proper even tho he was evil...just a pimp..only bad thing was he trusted Sidious...so he wasn't that smart...maybe I'm confusing intelligence with charisma? Charismatic, suave, powerful; a damn embodiment of the dark sides influence and power, but they tried to make Sidious the manipulator instead. And I think they failed. Sidious was just annoying in the last movie. Not to mention the supposedly "evil" voice he used in the end parts, after being burned by the jedi. It was hilarious. Claw Posted July 28, 2005 Share Posted July 28, 2005 I go with two sabers - first cause I can't decide which color to use (silver or viridian, so I use both) ... and because I can have more interesting combinations of crystal addons. I was playing as Sentinel / Jedi Master ... and my goal was to boost my Wisdom as much as possible ... each of my sabers had a crystal that increased it (pet crystal in one, and some other crystal in the other) ... in addition to a boost to other stats. With just two crystal slots, and with the pet crystal, there is only one extra that I can put in ... not as much fun. Krookie Posted July 29, 2005 Share Posted July 29, 2005 I've always gone with a single bladed, blue lightsaber. I never really liked the way that a character looked when he had 2 in his/her hands. As for double-bladed, I use them for other characters, but never my PC. But it is really the players choice, they only thing I wish that the devs. would change is that same generic hilt that everyone has. Mabye this'll be in K3, but who knows? EnderAndrew Posted July 29, 2005 Share Posted July 29, 2005 Double-sided is so much better. You get more damage, and you get the full benefits of your best upgrades and crystals with each strike. With two sabers, the smaller saber does less damage, and likely has inferior crystals and upgrades, since you have to put seperate crystals and upgrades across two sabers.
