Volourn
"Microsoft loses money for every Xbox sold, that should be proof enough. However, they gain money from their games (IE Halo 2 made 125 million in revenue the first weekend)." I know this. However, as you point out they have a solid reasoning for that. Lose money on the console, make money on the games. Very logical on their part. However, if they support games that have bombed, and finance sequels for the bombed games it lacks logic, and if MS is anything they are every logical and very wise when it comes to making money. I seriosuly doubt they would support JE, or any other game for that matter for a sequel if it bombed like the anti BIO guy implies. I seriosuly doubt that MS cares about BIo enough to through good money to support a comp[any that made a game that bombed. Then again, JE didn't bomb. That's wishful thinking on some people's part. SteveThaiBinh
There is no death, there is only the force. On topic - sort of: Baldur's Gate - I haven't played it, but I think it's the oldest, so if you like flashy graphics, maybe not. Icewind Dale II - I haven't played it, and I've heard mixed reviews. Some people say it has a really good story, others that it's a hack'n'slash - I thought that was effectively a contradiction. Maybe someone could explain. Neverwinter Nights - The single-player campaign isn't very good but there are lots of mods, some of which are better. The game itself is fun. Jade Empire - I haven't played, but most people agree it's good but short. For me, that's a reason not to buy, until they cut the price. Knights of the Old Republic II - good game, interesting characters, great story, weak ending. So out of the two I have actually played and am therefore qualified to talk about ( :D ) I would go for NWN, because the mods offer more variety and replay value. It's a party-based rpg full of combat with a great area design and a decent story. One of the few rpgs where party creation and tactics really matter. And I loved how different races and classes sometimes got radically different responses and even quests from the peeps on the journey. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. Walsingham
IWD was OK, but I got annoyed by having to make my own party. I enjoyed meeting NPCS as I went along, and seeing how they change my party and experiences for good or ill. "It wasn't lies. Musopticon?
I hoped back when IWD 2 was in pre-production, aka a glimmer in the devs eyes, that we'd have both a generated party and joinable peeps. Setzer
Ok after I finish IWD2, which I'm presently in Chapter 4, I think I'm going to jump to playing JE or KOTOR 2. Despite the fact they're both easy games it seems they both have good stories which is something I like in an RPG. Question is, before playing KOTOR 2 should I wait on this Restoration project to finish and then play it or just go ahead and play it as it is now? I mean, if you were me and you hadn't played the game yet, would you wait? I only play through a game once so if I play KOTOR 2 on the Xbox I don't plan on playing it again. Just not enough time on my hands.
