Final Fantasy VII

Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past

Ultima VII

I'd jump on the Deus Ex bandwagon, but I've only played the PS2 version. Controls, graphics, and load times brought it down.

3.WarcraftIII''the reign of chaos''n ''the frozen throne'':Was magnificent w marwellous cinematics making contribution to the great storyline. The curiousity'bout what the next cinematic will be like was the main factor that made me continue this game till the end. Having the opportunities of controlling all human, undead'n elf armies was a great pleasure but honestl armies of undead was the coolest of all in my opinion

I still haven't gotten past the first part of the first "chapter" of Frozen Throne, even though I played Warcraft III all the way through and enjoyed it thoroughly (hence why I bought the expansion). I just find it interminably irritating having to play the wood faries (or whatever they are), with their peculiar magic and such.

It turned me right off the game.

a grammar nazi!!  (w00t)

run for your lives!!   :D

but seriously, some people don't seem to bother with spelling or grammar these days. it does get quite frustrating.

Ve Hav vays ov makking yoo punktu-ate korrectly, ja?

In other news, I just finished Beneath a Steel Sky. Lots of fun and frustration there ..! ... Takes me back to the old "verb noun" adventures, like King's Quest and Space Quest ...

My first impressions (after finishing) was that the quality of the voice acting puts todays multi-million dollar extravaganzas to shame; the script and the acting and the jokes were better than just about anything I have played in the last few years, including the KotORs.

I dont think english is the guy's native language.

But even so it doesnt excuse the nature of his topics (this one is ok)

You're right, his native language is ebonics. o:)

He's American, his native language is in all probability English, he's just from someplace like Oakland, or LA, or New York.

Or alternatively watches way too much MTV.

well if you look at his location.....

I'm guessing he learned his English through hip-hop importation then if that's his real location. Just like the poor Japanese schoolchildren. :'( More's the pity!

Any of you old cats here remember Spellmar? :ermm:

Ah, good times...

Oh, and my favourite games? Hopscotch, War, and Foursquare...

I'm retconning that post. Now.

I've been meaning to find a better characterization of the man, but for now, you have to get your jollies off of my blank slate...

Yeah, I miss old Kramer too. How about this one:

To stay on topic, here is another list of three favorite games:

Command & Conquer Red Alert 2

Myth: The Fallen Lords (I love the pyromaniacal knomes)

KOTOR I

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

--John Stewart Mill--

"Victory was for those willing to fight and die. Intellectuals could theorize until they sucked their thumbs right off their hands, but in the real world, power still flowed from the barrel of a gun.....you could send in your bleeding-heart do-gooders, you could hold hands and pray and sing hootenanny songs and invoke the great gods CNN and BBC, but the only way to finally open the roads to the big-eyed babies was to show up with more guns."

Torment, Fallout 2, and the third one is too tough to decide its like a 10 way tie.

"For ourselves, we shall not trouble you with specious pretences- either of how we have a right to our empire because we overthrew the Mede, or are now attacking you because of wrong that you have done us- and make a long speech which would not be believed; and in return we hope that you, instead of thinking to influence us by saying that you did not join the Lacedaemonians, although their colonists, or that you have done us no wrong, will aim at what is feasible, holding in view the real sentiments of us both; since you know as well as we do that right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must."

Yes Hooah, I can see that English is your strong suit ... :("

Seriously, Meta, stop your jesting. Obviously, knomes are a hybrid where the father is a kender and the mother is a gnome. Gender are the exact opposites.

(Sort of like the liger and tigon.)

And I find it kind of funny

I find it kind of sad

The dreams in which I'm dying

Are the best I've ever had

Wouldn't a Gender get confused -- what gneder is a Gender, if a Gender has a male Kender and female Gnome, if the Kender was a she-male?

And, WTF is a Kender? :(

All in all, a very iknoble mistake ...

Actually, a Gender would have a male Gnome and a female Kender as parents. But thats beside the point.

And I thought you were making it up. I remember that Tasslehoff Burrfoot, but still this is not a standard mythical beatie, and certainly wasn't the little beastie that Hooah was referring to (pyromaniacal?) ...

What R Yo Fav 3 Games Of All Times

(3)

Guilty Gear XX: Reload (Soon to be /Slash unless they really screw it up) - The most perfect fighting game ever (In my opinion anyways). Character animation is beatiful and backgrounds are really nice, using a good blend of 3D and 2D layers. Also features a very nice soundtrack. It also has a giant, expansive storyline that could have you debating philosophy for hours.

(2)

Final Fantasy IV (II in the US) - This was the first RPG that made me like genre. Unlike

the previews released RPGs in the US (Dragon Warrior's, Final Fantasy I, etc) This was actually had a meaningful storyline and very nice character development, not to mention, a really awsome soundtrack (This game started my love for Nobuo Uematsu).

(1)

Chrono Cross - I've beaten this game 15 times. I have never gotten bored of it.

Yeah, they are pyromaniacal. They throw molotov c0cktails, and everytime they do it they say things like "burn" and laugh. They seem obsessed with starting fires and blowing things up, those malevolent b*stards :D

Edit: This language filter needs an upgrade badly.

Spellmar says "Do any of you old cats here remember Spellmar?"

Spellmar says, "Ah, those were good times." Sentences are good. Fragments bad.

o:)

I'd have to go with Torment, Fallout series and Ultima series.
