bobby98989
I'm currently on Nar Shaddaa, working to reunite the husband and wife in the refugee area. I've talked to everyone, including the quarren Exchange boss, but I cannot kill the guards to clear the way for the woman to go meet her husband. There are only two conversations tracks available to be with the quarren, one about paying tribute to the exchange and one about him hating humans. Neither does anything but end the conversation. I cannot talk to the guards, to make them angry at me. I've even tried laying mines around them. Nothing works to start a fight so I can clear them out. Any ideas? 11XHooah
You can piss off the guards that are at the entrance of the living area. Just talk to them, and you can threaten them to the point where you can fight them. Then the way is clear for her to go through. Hope that helps. Welcome to the boards by the way. bobby98989
Tried that, only can talk to one guard. Killed him, but the Gramorian with him didn't see (?) us fight is so is still there, and I can't attack/talk to him...
11XHooah
That's strange. Another bug perhaps? So when you're talking to the quarren, there is no type of threat option? Because at some point you should be able to make a threat that initiates a battle. I think if you talk to him about enslaving the people in the residential sector, you can say something like "I'm not going to let this happen anymore" (sorry, haven't played in a while), which should provoke him. bobby98989
I probably could have, but I must have missed that option the first time I went to talk to him. I force persuaded the Quarren to give the refugees more space. That ended the conversation. I've since looked at an online walkthrough and it says a fight should spark after I get him to ease up on the refugees and give them more space. This did not happen. Should I just forget this mission?
11XHooah
Yeah, I would. But that sucks that you can't do it. War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. Cassidy
To force the guards to attack, you can use security on any contaners that they are guarding, they will warn you to stop, then attack if you don't. After two or three containers, all of the guards should be attacking you.
bobby98989
Yeah, I've been at this a while, and so I've opened all the containers. Only the guards that "saw" me do it got aggressive.
Cassidy
Well hmm.... That always works for me. I don't know what else to tell you. Sorry.
zeroFantasy
how can you not kill all the guards? o.O
Cassidy
Well, apparently you can get a bug or screw up and they won't attack you. Which is why I think you should be able to attack anyone and everyone you please, like in Fallout.

bobby98989
It was strange. Walking in the same hallway I had walked several times before, suddenly my journal updated. I had "cleared the hallway" eventhough there were about a dozen thugs still roaming about. The missions done, I guess it just got hung somehow? Whatever... <SP
I read somewhere that the guards at the entrance and squidhead could be killed only when you meet them for the first time. After that you lose the opportunity. So you should forget about this mission.

elgoruk
Have you rescued the kid yet? - if not then you should be able to talk to & get squidhead (Visquis?) to attack you. After that all the guards will attack you on sight.

So your act of walking (probably over some small space that you hadn't walked on before) alerted the game that the area was successfully cleared. After that all the guards will attack you on sight. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yeah you have to talk to some lady about the exchange taking her daughter tell her that you'll kill squid head and free her daughter , then when youmeetup with the kid you'll have to kill the guard watcing her and open up locked containers to get the guards to attack you.then go to sqiud head tell him to free the kid or else or tell him you'll kill him if he doesn't free her and he'll say you can try, then once you kill him every single guard is now an enemy of you and will go hostile then once you defeat all piggies go an tell the wife the way is clear, simple enough .
