There were fan film trailers coming out the yayas. It was a little weird seeing a homemade green lantern costume fly, but then I saw the links to the star wars fanfilms. If I could remember the link I'd leave it here but my subconscious has blocked it from my mind as seeing too many fat bald men run around in their halloween Jedi Robes. Jaguars4ever is still alive. Darth Flatus Posted April 20, 2005 Share Posted April 20, 2005 I agree with kaftan in that this has the look of an *adult* version of star wars and normally with that kind of film i would be skipping ahead to the skin, but in this case i think my eyes would melt if there was that type of activity. On the subject of fanfilms i have heard of ones which are supposed to be not bad - around the time of TPM i hear dof an english couple making a few films and looked ok from what i saw. I almost always lower my head in shame at some of them. I think that maybe this Panic Struck company would be better off doing their own original stuff. 213374U Posted April 21, 2005 Share Posted April 21, 2005 After watching it I really must say that the saber choreographies are not only simple and unimaginative... they are poorly performed, even for a fan film. I think it's because they go for the prequel style of saber fights, when if done properly, the OT saber fight style can be just as cool. Other than that, the story is average, and the acting is ok, for a fan film. The CGI scenes are pretty good. And it's nobody's fault that all the actors are ugly. It somewhat reminded me of the old DFII FMV sequences. - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
