Magena Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 Some of you may have seen this on Missy's boards, but I thought I would ask for suggestions here too... In my dreamweaver class, the teacher asked all of us to find really bad websites (he showed us "Sun God" and someone has already brought in "mews news" - so both are out, in addition I can't use any on the list of the worst websites, as he has already seen them) --- soooooooo I need everyones help to try and find a truly hideous website -- this is asthetically, not the actual content so goatse isn't what I'm looking for. any ideas? from Mistresslair we did find a good one about dragonballZ, and there was one about dogs, but I can't bring that on up here, so I have no idea... need to wait til I'm at school I think. again, any ideas?
HiddenAssassin Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 http://www.tencommandments.org/homosexual unless of cause you enjoy kkk and hitler sites this one is really bad
Balthamael Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 Magena is looking for...esthetically interesting sites, regardless of content. Here are the examples from the other thread she mentioned. http://www.geocities.com/loulou4729/main.html http://www.fabelhaftshowdogs.com/
HiddenAssassin Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 oh ok my bad then Oz Wicca is pretty spinny especially with that background
Balthamael Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 ^Whatever. In Finnish it begins with e, and since Finnish is clearly the supreme language, other languages should seek to emulate it.
Zahadome Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 ^Whatever. In Finnish it begins with e, and since Finnish is clearly the supreme language, other languages should seek to emulate it. Hear Hear!
Revolver Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 This is pretty bad: http://www.paypalwarning.com/ Especially if they want to compete w/ paypal for credibility...
Kinbote Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 "Esthetic" is actually an acceptable variant, though I prefer "ae" myself.

Here are the examples from the other thread she mentioned. http://www.geocities.com/loulou4729/main.html http://www.fabelhaftshowdogs.com/ Thanks, Balth. Yep, that is what I was talking about. Ones that, regardless of content, make you think that the person needs to leave websites to professionals. - though I know over the years, I have seen corporate sites where I felt that the company needed to pay money to get a REAL webmaster/web designer. IF anyone has more ideas on the worse they have seen please let me know. :D
Karzak Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 I read the Drudge Report daily, that site is just basic blah as far as web design goes, and is noticable because it is a high traffic site. Let's keep the T&A in FanTAsy ***Posting delayed, user on moderator review*** Why Bio Why?
chevan Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 Try looking up different school or church websites.
tarna Posted February 20, 2004 Posted February 20, 2004 oh ok my bad then Oz Wicca is pretty spinny especially with that background A Wiccan correspondence course with not a single course on ethics. That crowd is going down the toilet fast! Jesus! Ruminations... When a man has no Future, the Present passes too quickly to be assimilated and only the static Past has value.
mkreku Posted February 20, 2004 Posted February 20, 2004 I have no idea how I ended up on THIS site, but it is by far the dumbest and ugliest I've ever seen. And don't blame me if your teacher spanks you for showing him that piece of rubbish. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
MERLANCE Posted February 20, 2004 Posted February 20, 2004 You want a horrible website? A Truly hideous website, one that will make you so angry that such things exist that you will abandon all else and crusade against them? Nope, I dont have one of those. Hows this? Beware! BEWARE!!! Then check THIS!!!!
Kinbote Posted February 20, 2004 Posted February 20, 2004 mkreku, are you sure it's a good idea to insult Time Cube like that? After all, "4-cornered Truth is ineffable by man or god." You word-murder your children.
taks Posted February 20, 2004 Posted February 20, 2004 i think you just word-murdered me... ouch. taks comrade taks... just because.
neriana Posted February 20, 2004 Posted February 20, 2004 I clicked on that "time cube" link and now I think I'm blind. That'll teach me to indulge my curiosity.
Pawe Posted February 20, 2004 Posted February 20, 2004 Check out this, its most horrible thing that roams the net. I mean... epileptics sure like that page and overall it's sooooo horrible.

Ok, so the homepage made my esthetic soul jump off a bridge, but MTV3 is actually a good TV channel. I usually watch it when I go visit my parents (who live close to the finnish border). Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
Magena Posted February 21, 2004 Author Posted February 21, 2004 yep, that one is pretty impressive. -- I think most of those are flash, but could be wrong.
Magena Posted February 22, 2004 Author Posted February 22, 2004 I've added www.benbova.net to my list.... how could the webmaster think anyone was going to read through all that??
