March 10, 200520 yr Hm.. 21. It's very common to see a higher average of age in RPG communities as opposed to those of other genres, IIRC. There's usually also a healthier mix of either gender.

I think it was last year that a report conducted by the gaming-industry was released which showed the average age of the gamer (across all platforms) to be 27. This of course was a wake-up call for game developers/publishers, who were still catering to the young teenage demographic, which they thought to be the majority. Not so. The gaming community is maturing -- and I love it, because I consider gaming an art form just as books or film. We may see many more "mature" (in the sense of sophisticated) game releases in the coming years. The only alarming development is the consolidation of the big publishers. But as with all things in life, the bigger fish are slow and unflexible. There might then be a renaissance of innovative gaming coming from small up-start companies who will soon be able to self-publish on the internet.
March 13, 200520 yr i'm just turned 21 :D , 4 days ago and i think the "0-10" is really exist, my nephew, was 9 and he's alot better player than me it's sucks, but ussualy younger people plays better

Video gaming is a relatively new form of entertainment and many believe that games are played only by kids. Video games companies should mature too if they want to keep up with the change.
