khollar
Arm upgrade ideas: Flame thrower, blaster, grenade launcher, vibroblade, computer spike/security spike attachment(for hacking into systems, eliminating the need for spikes thereby saving your spikes for use by other NPCs)
Azure79
Maybe he'll have great conversations with your PC akin to Dak'kon from Torment. You'll have to earn his trust and slowly coax it out of him, helping him attain some sort of peace. Awesome.
The Omnifarious Host
I'd prefer to have Ragnos in my team. His horns are much bigger. Hmmmm, and I always thought that was just a helmet or some kind of crown. Oh well, you learn something you didn't know before about SW all the time. mista_me
but i would like to say that you're very observant, Thanks for the compliment! I don't have any answers to your questions I am actually looking for your thoughts/theories and not necessarily answers. I thought it would be fun to brainstorm about this guy and then compare our guesses to the actual game once we play it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think that he'll prove to be one intresting character, as long as he is not boring (which his story would be pretty hard to be boring if he is unsuccessful at finding peace), and I hope that his upgradeable arm is as much if not more than what we are hoping for, cuz that would add a great element to his character! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, like Bao, give me a "hand" over here! Will ya? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you gotta wonder if he has had an accident of some kind with that arm? Where is the bell, wait for the bell, k i need the bell, wait the bell! Ding bonda dong! Ding bonda dong! Ding bonda dong! Ding bonda dong! Kazic wants you.... to join the pinkside!
khollar
Maybe he'll have great conversations with your PC That's what I'm counting on! A guy like that, with his past, will have some good stuff to say. you gotta wonder if he has had an accident of some kind with that arm? Which should come out in the afformentioned great conversations! Looking forward to hooking up with this guy. I hope it's towards the beginning of the game, although it might be more into it as it seems to be awhile before you make your lightsaber and he helps you do that. Oh well, it will be great to play along and be wondering when he will show up. I like that about KOTOR-knowing the people involved but not knowing when you meet them. Thanks for all of the great discussion everyone! Ya'll made my first topic very enjoyable.
Carth Vader
I'm imediately distrustful of creatures with horns, we'll have to see if he gets a chance to show his quality <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So you'd treat poor Bao-Dur like Denethor treated poor Faramir? Shame on you.
Jad'en
Meh, he is my Cannon fodder, personally i like acting like a racist pig in the SW universe *me to zaalbar* shut it you overgrown rug
Nur Ab Sal
I hate aliens too... HERMOCRATES: Nur Ab Sal was one such king. He it was, say the wise men of Egypt, who first put men in the colossus, making many freaks of nature at times when the celestial spheres were well aligned. SOCRATES: This I doubt. We are hearing a child's tale.

Ghostrunner
you definetly won't use him on pergus station because you don't even have your lightsaber yet by then. On you second planet it you get it with this big long quest so he can't be to late in the game i wonder what race he is i read recently what race made the original lightsabers i wonder if he is one of those. Jad'en
You go through something like 4 planets before you get a lightsaber, apparently your constantly running for the first 10 hours of gameplay
BC83
i think its more like the beams holding the pod racers together Ah hah! I forgot about that! Now you're thinking smart! That's why I needed help from ya'll. That would be a great way to make a connection to one of the movies. If memory serves, we aren't told what those beams on a pod racer are. They're just one of those Star Wars gadgets that is assumed to be common place, I guess. The only thing about this is that in Ep I the pod beams look more like thin lightning flashes, while Bao-Durs beam looks more like a beam of light. Very good possibility, though. They were called energy binders.
Ersinus
I did not consider that he could damage himself when i said about lightsaber technology theory. But as far as we know he is a skillfull technician, i bet he will have installed some protection against cutting himself. I said this because I read said that his arm will be upgredable, we can assume it will be used as a weapon. Unless it is an arm that increases his repair and computer use skills. What do you think about last one?
khollar
Per IGN article "Bao-Dur is a tech specialist and easily the most important handyman on your crew. With a high intelligence and high levels in a number of skills, he is often one of the best picks for the road crew. With ample strength, Bao-Dur can be equipped with a sizable melee weapon and put to task pummeling enemies. When that's done, you can have him hack a computer system to gain access to new areas. He's versatile and volatile. What more do you need from a crewmate? Bao-Dur doesn't have the type of secrets and mysterious shared by many other party members. He knows you from the Mandalorian wars, though not personally, and empathizes with your situation. He is, perhaps, the most reliable confidant and ripe pickings to be dragged to the Dark Side, should you choose that path." I had a feeling this guy was gonna be a great character, and this just confrims that! he is often one of the best picks for the road crew That's my plan! I was already looking forward to hanging out with him a lot. Bao-Dur can be equipped with a sizable melee weapon and put to task pummeling enemies I knew he was going to be a good melee fighter! He just has that tough-guy look! volatile Which will make for some great arguments/interactions/fights, etc. Bao-Dur doesn't have the type of secrets and mysterious This surprised me since another bio of him said he has a dark and troubled past. ripe pickings to be dragged to the Dark Side Another feeling I had about him from the moment I saw him! Hmmm. Maybe the force is strong with me. ) Muh, hah, hah! He shall bow down and call me master before the game ends! When I become a Sith Lord, I will take Bao-Dur as my apprentice and we will be invincible!
DSLuke
Don't know buddy. I don't trust guys with sliced hands. You've seen what Vader did to Sidious. :D And by the light of the moon He prays for their beauty not doom

Zabraks did not make the first lightsabers he is merely a tech-specialist that knows a lot about computers and droids and building things the force is what gives a jedi his power. its an energy field created by all living things. it surrounds us and penetrates us. it binds the galaxy together
