mkreku Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 The ten best countries to live in, according to a new report made by the UN: 1. Norway 2. Sweden 3. Australia 4. Canada 5. Netherlands 6. Belgium 7. Iceland 8. USA 9. Japan 10. Ireland Go Norway! Go Sweden! Source: http://hdr.undp.org/reports/global/2004/ Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
Volourn Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 It's the UN so how much did your countries bribe 'em? DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
mkreku Posted July 16, 2004 Author Posted July 16, 2004 It's the UN so how much did your countries bribe 'em? Actually, that's one of the few fields where the USA beat Sweden: the BNP per capita is much higher in the US than in Sweden. You know, low crime rates, good health care and a culturally diverse society goes a long way. Ps. USA is part of the UN.. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
Whitemithrandir Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 What's wrong with crime? Life is boring without the occasional bout with murder. Word economics To express my vast wisdom I speak in haiku's.
Phosphor Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Coming in at number four is pretty good, too, I think.
mkreku Posted July 16, 2004 Author Posted July 16, 2004 Coming in anywhere in the top ten means it's a damn good country to live in. But you can always brag a little more if you're number two.. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
Volourn Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 P.S. I'm not Amerikan so I don't really care what number they are. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Monte Carlo Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Any top ten list that seriously expects me to think that Belgium is worth living in has to be highly dubious.
deganawida Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Any top ten list that seriously expects me to think that Belgium is worth living in has to be highly dubious. Well, MC, the do have good waffles... I think that's it, though.
Monte Carlo Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 It takes more than a tasty breakfast snack to persuade me to move country, my friend.
mkreku Posted July 16, 2004 Author Posted July 16, 2004 What's wrong with Belgium? Except for that pedophile-gang, of course.. I know that Belgium has the most comic book artists in the world (per capita) though! Can't be all bad. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
deganawida Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 It takes more than a tasty breakfast snack to persuade me to move country, my friend. Oh, I agree, but you know those UN folk. Food, bribes, they seem to go hand-in-hand.
deganawida Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 You know, after examining that list again, I'm rather surprised that the UK isn't listed. As I understand it, the UK has a high standard of living. Anyone know what's up?
Product of the Cosmos Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 LMAO wheres USA 8? LOL Don't tell that to a large majority livin here..
Weiser_Cain Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 The fact that we're number 8 just tells me the list is broken. Yaw devs, Yaw!!! (
Whitemithrandir Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 HAHA! LIVING in ICELAND is preferable to living in the US?!!! what's iceland got that we haven't got? Word economics To express my vast wisdom I speak in haiku's.
deganawida Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 HAHA! LIVING in ICELAND is preferable to living in the US?!!! what's iceland got that we haven't got? Nordic babes? Reindeer?
Weiser_Cain Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Right, there are no beautiful women in America... Yaw devs, Yaw!!! (

Product of the Cosmos Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 "The fact that we're number 8 just tells me the list is broken." LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!^ I don't think people in Norway or Canada r in threat of getting drafted... Not to mention we have more homicide/murder here then any civil country times 10. lol. I dunno maybe 8 is about right.
Volourn Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 "I don't think people in Norway or Canada r in threat of getting drafted..." True; but at least in the US, you don't have to worry about being hit by an iceberg when you walk down the street. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

deganawida Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Right, there are no beautiful women in America... Oh, there are plenty (I'm married to one, so I know). It's just that some people seem to associate beauty with Nordic blondes.
Hiro Protagonist Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Right, there are no beautiful women in America... If you count fat obese women as beautiful, then America is the most beautiful country in the world.

True; but at least in the US, you don't have to worry about being hit by an iceberg when you walk down the street. lmao.. There r tons of beautiful women here tho. Not all Americans r fat. lol. Funny to see stereotypes thought about America. In fact IMO there r some of the most beautiful womenin the world here IMO because there is such a diversity in all types of human here on Earth in America. The great mixing pot. Esspecially the Pacific coast.
