Craftsman Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Vote and discuss and the devs might take notice. Cheers
Ellester Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 only one choice? Life is like a clam. Years of filtering crap then some bastard cracks you open and scrapes you into its damned mouth, end of story. - Steven Erikson
Craftsman Posted February 10, 2004 Author Posted February 10, 2004 WHAT THE HELL? Damn this poor editing system.
Mark Nazzal Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Maybe You should start another thread. This one should be closed by a moderator ASAP. Just make sure you get it right this time ;-)
FrankK Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 on the plus side, it makes casting your vote a lot easier if EVERYTHING is important to you.
Shadowstrider Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 on the plus side, it makes casting your vote a lot easier if EVERYTHING is important to you. Which is exactly why I voted
atoga Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Atmosphere, bitches! Run something_kinda_freaky.exe
Gromnir Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 is like voting in china... takes all the confusion out of the process with only one candidate available. HA! Good Fun! Nightblade Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Arthur - Merlin, which quality is the most important in a good knight? Merlin - They blend, like the metals we use, to make a good sword..
ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 There is no single game element. It's all about how they are put together. Take FFX, fairly linear but more than makes up for it with a very strong story. Morrowind on the other hand. Pretty bland and generic but with the freedom to explore at will. Though the first one is one of my favourites and Morrowind isnt. For people who like the open ended nature. It does that very well. To look good you probably need to really nail one of those things on the list. And at the same time not mess up any of the others. All the "great" games have at least one hook which is what people remember about it. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327[/snapback]
Karzak Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Why isn't girly half elf paladunces with jiggly **** on the list? Let's keep the T&A in FanTAsy ***Posting delayed, user on moderator review*** Why Bio Why?
Drakron Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Same reason that is no "screwing thieves out of dual wield and not put any good buckler shield in the game" option.
Karzak Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Same reason that is no "screwing thieves out of dual wield and not put any good buckler shield in the game" option. Because it's a given? Let's keep the T&A in FanTAsy ***Posting delayed, user on moderator review*** Why Bio Why?
axelgreese Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Well obviously the most important aspect is wheither or not I get a napkin/map in the box.
Phoenix Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Interesting poll . Anyhow i think there're many important elements and most them supporting each others: Story/plot, character development, NPCs, technical aspects... Character development and story seem very important to me.
Thorndyke Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 I'm currently playing through Arcanum once again, so right now my biggest wish for any future RPG is: NO NPC THIEVES WHO CAN STEAL IMPORTANT ITEMS FROM MY INVENTORY! God, I hate Tarant. Oh, and get rid of the story. Randomly generated freeform crap is teh future.
Gromnir Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 the most important game element is whichever element the developers failed most badly at incorporating effectively into a given game. obviously the most important element is different for each game... mostly. HA! Good Fun! Shadowstrider Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Cesium. Has an atomic weight of 132.9, and is element number 55...
mkreku Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 is like voting in china... takes all the confusion out of the process with only one candidate available. HA! Good Fun! Yeah, he should have made TWO choices so it would be like "the lighthouse of democracy in the world", USA. Of course, then less than 50% of everyone who visits this thread would actually cast his/her vote and the candidate with less votes would win..
