Heh, reminds of the CIA black bagging a Canadian and sending him to Syria where he got tortured.

Not really sure why we're beating the "Assad is bad" horse here, but knock on.

Why we beating the " Assad is bad " horse

Gee I dont know, maybe because his entire regime collapsed in 5 days when his Russian and Iranian allies didnt support him and his own army  had to defend him

Its not that hard to define effective and popular leadership when an advancing army can achieve the results in such a short time ?

Add to that the oppressive and brutal nature of his government and it shouldnt be that difficult to understand the  "Assad is bad " for Syria

Guess the metaphor wasn't all that clear to you.

Well the rebels are being good so far, they're not complaining about Israel bombing or raiding the country

If they do become a proper state, wonder if Israel will leave Golan.

Question should probably be will Israel leave from their new "defense zone" then

Very good video PPT about why it happened so fast. If you have 1 hour to spare, I can only recommend it. I have listened to it today while driving during my business trip, and I have found out about things, which I never heard before. Like Assad being head of “drug cartel”, which provided synthetic drugs to the whole middle east (responsible for about 80% of worldwide production).
