Ordered a small box of toffee/chocolate chip cookies. Not low carb. 
Ordered a couple packages of landjaeger styled meat sticks (not the most expensive ones but still pretty tasty). Zero carb.

And since it's all being delivered today, this early this afternoon I should be in snack coma heaven.
The internet means you're not safe from snack-shopping even at 4am.

Arrived in Denmark late Sunday... took a couple of days to shake off the jet lag. Got some kind of bug as a greeting from the cold and clammy weather in northern Europe

On a more positive note, staying rent free at my dads place at the moment and he has Netflix. I never had that. Decided to watch the first two episodes of "Arcane". Was surprisingly not sucky. Which I guess is praise coming from me who normally scuff at CGI shows not made by Pixar

Nice, so are you going to be living and working in Denmark?
Or is this just while you look for work in the EU?

So the epilogue of the story is that new dishwashers use so little water that these new washing tablets/pills don't dissolve all the way under certain conditions, ie. if the dishes are not that dirty the machine will automatically shorten the program making it even worse. So they increased the amount of water used to the max through their service app, but still recommend I use plain powder detergent for regular washing and just use the heaviest program instead of auto. Plus some of the ikea trays and salad bowls I have are crap, which is the least surprising thing in the story.

Having lived abroad for 20+ years, my trip to Denmark in August sort of reminded of what I've been missing out on....

There are zero eggs in the local grocery. There is a sign of "eggs limited to 1 package per customer" or something, but all gone. California has now declared a state of emergency for finding it in cattle/milk or something. Ok. As long as I can still buy my yogurt. Don't care about/hardly use eggs/milk much myself, but I must have my Fage yogurt!

I've heard Barnes and Nobles (and other bookstores) are doing well lately - eg, books are doing well, despite all the tech. I find this refreshing. Going to go to one and buy up a bunch of books I ignored from the past decade or two. Maybe I'll find I can enjoy reading novels constantly, again, vs my boredom with most media.
